The mari lwyd is a Welsh tradition in which a person had a horse skull & white sheet, usually decorated with dried flowers. They come to your house & you essentially have to defeat them in a rap battle or they'll drink all your alcohol

"I've never heard off a Yule Goat" Yule goat is a common decoration in Sweden and in Gävle we have a Julbock (Yule goat) that is very very big and it get built every year, and burned down almost every year. Tom Scott has a video on it. Gävlebocken has not burned down this year.

Played this awhile ago and I'm happy that the devs are updating this. Here's hoping that they eventually have a Halloween version too. 1:23:05 I knew they would mess up with the Warlock vs Avalanche thing, definitely confused me a lot too. I like to think that it's just the same Avalanche every time and people in the same area are just trapped and calling you at the same time. At least they added the cheer level to help immediately let us know where you gave the wrong advice. I forgot how goofy and wholesome the Christmas pictures were at the end. I wish our parties at work were as lively as that.

40:25 This is a real thing!! It's the Mari Lwyd (or Y Fari Lwyd) and it's South Wales tradition. Started around the 1800s and would have groups of men carrying the horseheaded creature door-to-door where the Fari Lwyd would sing for entry, the homeowners were to shun it also via song and so on until the homeowner would give in and give over -- usually -- cheese and beer.

So here is the deal Jesse. A LOT of the fun from this game comes from getting things wrong. Each time you get an answer wrong in either game you will get a call back later and can witness the horror and insanity. I would recommend watching a compilation video of the wrong answers or even playing the game again. Name the title something along the lines of "Wrong answers only"

So to explain the gingerbread animation. Both families take part in the competition. So it’s the enemy gingerbread man from the other family invading the grandma’s home to destroy her gingerbread post office creation.

The animations are just golems animated with one singular purpose otherwise they would aknowledge people instead of "ignore them entirely as they go about their business", the ginger bread man is the postman created with the sole purpose of burning its own house in a ditch by "the interest of other potentially dangerous parties" (the old lady's competitors). The ginger bread man "collapse on their own after completing their intended function".

I had (have?) cynophobia thanks to a handful of bad experiences with dogs as a child. I've got over it mostly by rational thinking and unavoidable exposure to dogs, I'm not scared of them these days but I'm a bit wary around them. The worst part of it is people just cannot understand it.
