That mouse / racoon second task was the largest example of the donning kruger effect ever.. "I hear squeeking sounds in my attic." Obivously mice. The very definition, meme, the whole character of mice in a house, is that you hear squeeks. Then follows an extremely convoluted overcomplicated roundabout way to say its raccoons, which has nothing to do with the squeeking. When people are trying to be extra intelligent by thinking outside the box, you're missing what is unbelievably easy and simple inside the box, and you'll still be wrong despite taking the more complex path..

Great to see you bunch play this game. [Edit] To those curious there is 2 endings. You either get through the whole week and win or you give wrong answers enough and you lose (Not gonna spoil that). Most if not all the phone calls can have bad endings if you give them wrong answers anything from "Oh no it's worse!" to "MY FACE MELTING!". The game gives you a catalogue so you can read over everything and an option to see your entire run's results as in names of the callers and whether you got it right or not. Afaik there's no 100% ending but you do get to see all the coupons. There's options to make things easier or skipping certain things too.

It reminds me of Control with the FBC (Federal Bureau of Control). No other place is equipped to deal with what they do. It'd be like if your house is on fire and you call a plumber and they say they can't do anything and you have to call firefighters.. that's not "corporate/capitalism" it's just they're not trained to deal with it.

@@weakamna It's definitely both: they're obviously the only ones capable of handling those situations - given how the police, and by extension, the state, defers it to them - but they approach it from a corporate and likely also profit-driven perspective; either a product of the time they live in or a willing choice of profit over human life (and perhaps fey life as well). Definitely a good tactic in terms of hiding their true nature: they'd raise far more suspicion as a shadowy government organization, paramilitary force, etc., than as a pushy company with a weird advice hotline and mixed results solving problems.

I gotta give it to the devs for when they show you certain options during the game. You start off with normal stuff and then you start getting the weird things and you immediately think everything is going to be the weird fantasy stuff. It kinda goes back and forth and sometimes an entire day is all paranormal stuff. It really makes players expect trends but sometimes those trends are meant to mislead you. The funny thing is that quite a few ppl I've watched stream this game tend to forget that you just need to read what the ppl say and read your descriptions of stuff and you get your answer.
@Eventide2159 ай бұрын
The amount of overthinking in this video is wild.. it's equally hilarious and terrifying when they see something talking specifically about mice, sounding like mice, and yet they're like "IT'S A RACCOON BECAUSE THEY SAID ATTIC!" as if mice are banned from living in an attic.. then later when the woman says to not tell anyone they take that as "don't tell anyone anything not normal" when it was more like an NDA where you're not supposed to take all the information from that database you have access to and just tell everyone.. so then the boys are sitting there just going through the list of things looking for something else you use milk/cream for.. like what is wrong with this group? They'll be *spot on* for things then immediately not trust themselves because they start making each other second guess everything for no reason..
@Eventide2159 ай бұрын
