abt two thirds of my hair fell out my senior year in highschool bc of the mood stabilizer i was on. sadly, ive tried 90+ different psychiatric meds, that was the only one that ever worked for me. i had to stop taking it bc i was literally losing handfuls of hair any time i remotely touched my hair. that was the worst feeling in the world, i was a senior in highschool, i had prom i had graduation coming up, i remember having s*x w a guy n he asked if my hair was falling out bc even he noticed it when touching my hair. so so mf embarrassing. so disheartening that the first med that ever worked for me, in the 10 years i had alr been w a psychiatrist trying to medicate my mental, just so happened to also make my hair fall out. it wasn’t even a common, or rare, side effect of it. i’m so grateful it fell out all over, not in patches, bc i was at least able to just cut it shorter and still look pretty for my prom n graduation pics. my hair has been such a huge part of me forever, ive pretty much always had it long enough its down to my bellybutton, hair loss rlly did completely flip my world upside down for a while. it was a pretty intense mood stabilizer too, i couldn’t just stop taking it, i had to taper off it n onto another. that took several months, i really did lose two thirds / three quarters of my hair. then once i was completely off that med it still took another 6 months for it to get out my system (it was lipophilic ? it gets stored in ur fat) and for me to stop noticing hair falling out. here’s the plus side tho- it turned my hair curly ! i used to have stick straight hair, now it’s sooo curly !!! i genuinely love it :) it’s been 4 years since then, my hair is back to its normal thickness, the ends are still thinner from it, but it’s rlly hard to notice now. the curls stayed too :) i used to take my hair for granted, i had no idea what a blessing hair is, how much my hair boosts my confidence, how it relates directly to me feeling like “myself.” it was SO hard senior year, bc i just didn’t look like myself. i’d look in the mirror n forget abt my hair n all of a sudden b reminded. all this taught me a very important lesson abt confidence needing to come from inside me, not from what i look like. n overall, im so happy i went thru everything, i LOVE my curls :)

Law school got me and there is no way to reduce stress. Graduate? Nope, bar prep! Pass? Nope, insane billable hours! Combine that with 7 family deaths in under two years AND the fact that general anasthesia causes hair loss for a year (grew up having surgery once a year, then in 2018, 2019, and 2024), my hair is so sadly thin. I dye it darker so my roots even make me look balder than I am. Im on finasteride with no improvement and Rogaine makes my roots soooo greasy. Too hairy for oral version too. I got the Elite and DHT blocker along with Activ Renew shampoo within the past month and, outside of PRP, have no idea what I can even do if this fails. Been dealing with this since 23 and I'm now 30.

I got one of the older ones (new, but an old model) on amazon for about 600$ CAD. I’ve been really enjoying it. Its still the 25 min per two days but honestly I use it more than that? idk if there’s a problem with using it every day but i haven’t had any issues with that, I feel the warmth but it’s never painful. I do wish I can upgrade to the elite one because I have a lot of thinning on the temples and a receding hairline and apparently the design on the elite helmet covered more of those areas. But I’m pretty happy with the growth I’ve had now, even my hairdresser apropos of nothing asked me out of the blue “did you have hair loss a while back? I seen a bunch of new hair growth.” I was so extremely happy with my collection of baby hairs that are a completely different length than everything else on my scalp lol.

Do you have any thoughts about the irestore essential? It is the $500 model. I think it is half the diodes of the Pro. I have not found any research which differentiates the models. I bought a second hand igrow from ebay for $100. I just cannot justify those prices. I have been using it for two months. I am also on minoxidil for 4 months which is likely responsible for the minor regrowth. all that hair growth you had is quite exciting. happy for you :)

I think it’s the same one Angie from Hot & Flashy uses and recommends. I bought one based on her review. UPDATE: I was wrong. The one Angie uses and recommends is the Hairmax Laser band. You move it over your head to get all the areas you want. She did a lot of research on the type of light, number of lights, use, etc and said it was the best product for the price. If I remember correctly she said there is a max usage so even if you have more lights and use more often your hair will only respond to a certain level. @@vhvhhvcy1780 Platelet-Rich Plasma. It’s a process where they take your own blood, process it in some way… I believe platelets, plasma, are extracted from the blood to create a “serum” of some sort that is then injected back into the patient’s body (affected area) to help in healing. Not a great description, but it gives you a general idea. Since it’s your own blood your body shouldn’t reject it. It’s like you helping to heal yourself. I first heard of it for years with regard to sports medicine, being used to assist in the regeneration and healing of muscles and tissues, I think even bones (?)… Then it started to be discussed in relation to hair loss. I don’t believe it necessarily works for everyone, but the medical community is learning more every year. My doctor says the results for hair loss may be temporary for some people and you may have to do it again every few years. It depends upon why you have hair loss, so it’s really important to isolate that and to get it under control.

Ooof I went to a consultation for that today and it's 900 bucks per session and they want to do at least 6 session 😔 I just can't begin to fathom affording it

I am no doctor nor I've seen if protein intake is directly affecting your hair follicles, but maybe the amount of protein you're taking is too low? I'm also a vegan and I struggle to meet my protein goal as well

Excuse me for saying this so openly, but why don't you save yourself all that money and massage your scalp twice a day with aloe vera? In addition, apply a mixture of rosemary, clove and castor oil twice a week and your hair will grow again. You live vegan, why not apply pure nature to your scalp? Maybe it's because of my German mentality, but I would never put on such a helmet - nature offers so much here..... But thanks a million for your great videos. I just love them because you always come across so honestly. ❤

Hey :) thank you for your awesome videos. Can you please make a video comparing iResore professional and iRestore essential, as even though the pro is cheaper than the elite it is still quite pricey? I am considering getting one and if the essential is also okay, then I will definitely choose it..

After trying every single solution out there for hair growth without any significant progress, my hair finally started growing back and healthier when I reintroduced meat, fish, eggs and dairy in my diet after years of veganism and destroying my body from the lack of essential nutrients you can’t find in plants, even when doing it right and taking supplements.
@tamcon728 ай бұрын
What in animal nutrient specifically is magical? Asking because this comment sounds like typical carnivore cult talking points not founded in clinical fact.

@@tamcon72 the only thing I can think of is protein but you can get that from beans as well and I'm not vegan. I'm craving some beef liver right now. But, I also love beans and if I'm out of meet at home I will have beans for a protein source

@@sable7114 If you're craving beef liver--I have never, even when an avid meat eater--you may be low on iron.

@@tamcon72 that is true, I thought about that when I said that and I have been known to have low iron when the physician felt I Should Have Been Told.

I'm so sorry you've had to go through such heart break and heart ache! I'm kind of going through a really difficult time myself and I appreciate your honesty. I'm so happy for you that you're getting new hair growth! I'm really glad that you do tell people that need help (like me) to see a psychiatrist and get on meds and to see a therapist (both also me). I'm really glad that you're getting therapy. I hope your new normal is a lot better than you thought it would be. Because of you I want to try Nutrafol but I can't afford it and I also want to buy the iRestore elite helmet but I can't afford it even with a good coupon. I wish I could win the lottery sometimes. I would help so many of my family and friends and my charities. Oh well. I still love watching you talk about skin care products and now also hair stuff. :)

@Angelathibert18 ай бұрын
Listen I know it’s so controversial, it doesn’t destroy hair. In order to grow new hair your scalp has to shed old, unwanted hair. Monat helps clear your follicles and this does cause shedding (not hair loss). This is so new growth can occur. It’s not like typical mlms. Way way less rules. We literally just share products on social media. You can recruit if you want but it’s not mandatory. No mandatory purchases. It’s severely misunderstood I prooooomise!
@AngryDalishElf8 ай бұрын
@@Angelathibert1 hair shedding is completely normal but no a product that causes that isn’t normal in the slightest. Hair products shouldn’t cause hair loss, irritation and BALDING. You’re obviously brainwashed by them and nothing will change your stupid ass views on it. It’s soooo good that’s why they’ve had to pay out people whose hair has suffered from their shitty products.
