How to open a durian: The easy way: 1. Buy only the flesh from the supermarket. 2. Get the seller to make a small cut for you before you take the fruit home. The DIY way: 1. Observe the pattern of the thorns and look for the parting (like the parting of the hair) 2. Hack a deep cut along this line. The durian would crack a little. 3. Insert your fingers through this cut and rip apart the shell like the way you would rip apart a cabbage. 4. The fruit would appear beautifully in its own pod (not like the guillotined version that Kimmel made).

For those who have not tried durian or tried and hate it, I suggest trying durian ice cream. It has all the flavor and sweeteness of durian without the funky, pungent smell of durian. Go to your local asian supermarket. It's in popsicle form!

normally in our region (South East Asia), we will open it the way that the shell perfectly tear apart, leaving only the fruit in good shape. There are some steps on doing it(not gonna explain, took me a while to learn it). It will looks something like (In FINAL FORM xD)this goo.gl/mzB185

@@bjuganda7758 I live in Luzon right now, but I spent a number of years in the Visayas, in a largest island nearest Mindanao where durian is also present, but not as abundant as in Davao. If you have smelled or eaten a durian the first time, you'll surely identify it anywhere you go.

Jessica's brain has translate the taste of the durian as delicious custard. If u get use to it, it will taste soooo great, like u scoop it in a small peace tea spoon, and eat it slowly, to enjoy every small bite of it. Thats why we call it, the king of fruits
