You can also use dental wax. It’ll mold to your bottom teeth to allow you to play extended hours. Works really great if you happen to be biting down too hard.

in matter of keys it seems to only be for experience since the plating isn't thick enough to affect the sound greatly

hi, i am 14 years old and i have been playing the clarinet for about four years now, my doctor said i have been over working my fingers which is why i have some pain in them, do you think if warming up would help my fingers or not. if you dont know thats ok, i do not really expect you to. thank you

I give her a massive amount of respect for her playing, she clearly has earned her place in the Met. However...her playing on this specific horn is like nails on a chalkboard for a few notes. I don't see how the fuzzy, thin sound is acceptable to her, or anyone else for that matter. It's on a consistent set of notes at that, indicating an equipment issue, not something wrong with her technique. Seems like her skill is somewhat hindered by that sound, again one that's not her fault.

Les aigus ne sont pas beaux et les suraigus pas justes, de plus leçon bien que large reste vide de toute substance comme s'il venait d'une clarinette qui a fait son temps et d'un bec complètement usé. Pour finir dans les passages détachés on peut entendre trop d'air dans le son. Mais peut-être que tout cela est dû à un mauvais micro ou bien à mes vieilles oreilles qui commencent à fatiguer. Madame la clarinettiste du Metropolitan vous êtes très jolie.

Nice comments and good hearing. Good phrasing and intonation make up for a lot of other problems. She does look nice and for a Frenchman to say that is a great compliment.=== Bons commentaires et bonne audition. Un bon phrasé et une intonation compensent beaucoup d'autres problèmes. Elle a l'air bien et pour un Français de dire que c'est un grand compliment.
