I am blown right out of my seat every time I watch this--- IMO the best duet/performance in Idol history. Jessica was ROBBED of the title, but it doesn't matter because she pissed on that stage and left her forever mark right there next to the legendary Miss Holliday!!!! BRAVO!

This is the most amazing performance of the night. Singing along side the legendary Jennifer Holiday and not get swallowed up in whole says how enormous her talent is. She is not defeated. She can walk off that stage with her head held high. She is young and her voice is versatile. She can sing the "phonebook". She has a very bright future ahead of her.

It's a shame that people have grown so accustomed to flimsy voiced young women, whose nasally mixes pass for belting and whose meandering pointless runs define "control", that they no longer appreciate a person who sings with guts, grit and soul. It's amazing when you think about the legends who wouldn't exist if they came out today. Tina Turner, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight...the list goes on. Ms. Holiday transformed the world of musical theatre forever. Miss Sanchez has a terrific voice, I hope she gets with the right team and makes a big mark in the industry.

@ RamajX....You unknowingly stated the same as I have said in the past about others. It feels so good to know that other people feel the same as I do. I wish so much that good music with great performers will return again before I leave this world. I am sure that young talented people like Jessica Sanchez and Charice Pampengco will be amoung those who will be sucessful. They are the proof that if you have talent and believe in your self you can move forward to be a great inspiration for others.

Jason Ng I see what you did there. I wholeheartedly agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I believe just as strongly that the statement "we are all entitled to our opinion" is the last resort of a person who feels compelled to speak but is too intimidated by critical thought to say something of intellectual value. It is overused. Everyone has an opinion. I happen to believe that it is our responsibility to use our analytical skills and create well informed opinions. Of course, that is just my opinion.

RamajX I dont need to agrue with someone about personal musical tastes who obviously thinks they are of superior intellect..... my opinion is just that....my own opinion, the only person it needs to matter to is myself and those I love and care for... anyone else well they dont much matter in my world just as I dont in theirs. Music is something very versatile in rl and who is he or who am I or who are you to tell anyone their opinion of what they life is right or wrong . If everyone in the world only liked a certain type of music or if every man only liked red heads...... the world would be a f*cked up place .
