What Happened to Korea's No.1 Tourist Destination..

For today's vlog, I visited the so-called no.1 tourist destination is Korea, Myeongdong! Little did I know though, Myeongdong died due to the travel restrictions of the pandemic.. But oh well! I guess it's starting to revive! Till the day travelling becomes free again! 💖

I love it when they casually use Tagalog words in their conversations. Even sylvia like when moy was asking for opinions on the black coat, sylvia said "sobrang-" She just casually said it in Tagalog rather than using English or korean. I think Moy helped them improve their Tagalog vocab 😁

I remember me and my colleagues learned using chopstick in one day because our Japanese boss instructed the waiter just to bring chopstick and brought a saucer filled with peanuts as appetiser and snails. We were so hungry, after couple of flying peanuts and snails. After end of the day, we can pick peanuts and rice using chopstick 😂. Hunger force our brain to adapt. Seeing this video moved me to tears😢. It reminds me of our days in korea 2018-2019. Reminds us of our Korean friends who we miss dearly,the sights,soundz,and even the smell all came back as i watched this video. First thing almost everybody does when they get to M is to look for a good money changer. Theres a shop out in the back street of M beside a school(?) Run by a couple of Indian guys that offer excellent rates. I miss my absolute favorite roasted octopus cooked with a blowtorch in front of you😁....and of course the last minute shopping before your flight the following day......hope the gigantic Teddy Bear in one of the shops is still there when we come back.🙂👍

I've been there in myeongdong as a tourist we check lot of stores in there specially souvenir items. We thought the price is a bargain but the next day we went to a mall (forgot the name) and the souvenirs we found there is a lot cheaper than myeongdong market.an item I remember is in myeongdong 1 set of fork spoon and chopsticks has the same price in that mall of a 3 set of those items.

I feel sorry for the state Myeongdong is now. Such a busy and crowded place before. I still remember getting in line in the grilled lobster stall only to find out it’s kinda pricey! Had just a very small portion since i had to share it with 3 others. LOL. I just hope it’ll be back once the pandemic is over. Such a nice and fun place to go back to.

The restaurant ‘Myeongdong gyoza’ doesn’t have any franchise. I heard that the owner let the ex employees to use the name for free that’s why you would find many similar names restaurants in Seoul. I think it’s the only restaurant still people waiting in line to try the food in Myeongdong. Meaning this restaurant isn’t only for tourists

We went to Korea (& Myeongdong) literally months before the pandemic shut everything down. Myeongdong was packed! We went twice/ Your vid makes me sad… we lost our beloved dad a year into COVID (he died of cancer), and we’re a traveling family. It will never be the same… I hate covid.

Deym I miss Myongdong :( I remember one time a lady who was selling this good face cream came up to me and my friend... she even said Ara Mina was her usual customer however the product was too expensive and we just.. bolted out of the shop... never to return HAHA! But some shops (especially those in the alley ways) know how to speak in Filipino.. gawd thanks for the vid!
