Thank you Jessica for showing this to us. I thought Korea being a rich country that you won't be scammed anymore by a taxi driver and I always thought it's only Filipinos who can do this for being a poor country. Scammers do exist everywhere. What an eye opening!

Yeah, that's what i noticed some Koreans focus on having either American accent or British accent when it comes to English. I'm like sure.. it's nice but if learning, best to focus on having someone to practice speaking english on daily basis to help out with their understanding of words, forming sentences. Rather than having a nice accent. 😁 Oh yes, I love round lab toner, moisturizer birch juice one

That was where we stayed during my first visit in Korea last year! It’s true that it’s in a location you’ll probably not think of firstly, but it’s not far either. Also, I’ve been having a hard time looking for a suitable facial sunscreen. I’mma try Round Lab!

Fairfield is also one of my go-to hotels whenever I travel to Seoul! Sulit sya 👍🏽 and the mrt stop near it is one of the big ones so it’s easy enough to go around to other locations kasi maraming other mrt lines going through it. Another plus is that they have a haidilao in the same building!

Most dentists said we shouldn’t rinse with water after brushing teeth. To optimize the effectiveness of your toothpaste, just spit it out then no foods/drinks within 30mins after brushing. If you’re not comfortable with that, gargle with fluoride mouthwash. 😊

Hi Jessica! There's something similar to the scalp care product that's already available in Watsons. 😆 but the one you showed in the vlog comes in a tube packaging. The one sold in Watsons comes in a smaller tub hahaha... just not sure if I could post the brand name but it's pretty popular. As someone with oily scalp, I do use that product too 🤣

I think I'll check on my way home from work this afternoon lol if my closest branch doesn't have it I'll check this weekend when I go to Seoul. Are you still in Korea? Sorry but from 7:56 on I just zoned out as it was too much of a product plug irrelevant to me. Two things though I took to heart as I have never been to Korea: 1. visit in the summer near a subway station 2. Use Kakao like grab to get around as the taxi drivers like everywhere else in the world are dishonest and you speak the language, what more for tourists that do not. I plan to visit next year and I will be better informed because of this.

Very true, having to use a professional matchmaker sounds totally bonkers on its face. But as they say, "Desperate times call for desperate measures." So when you really think about it, matchmaking services like Duo seem like a great way to address the low birth rate issue. The Philippines now has the same problem, so we're probably going to need them as well in a couple of years. Maybe by then a couple of Duo clones will come onto the scene and start to give hook-up apps a run for their money.

If we plan to travel to Korea, do we need to learn basic Hangeul like How much is this product? Where is the train/bus station? Etc. Or are there areas or places in Korea where Koreans understand English so there is no issue in communication? Else, we would rely on Google translate a lot that we need to have unlimited Internet connection to be able to communicate with the people there?

As a native English speaker, the accent doesn't really matter as long you can communicate clearly. Honestly, based on experience, it's always the non native English speakers that seems to put an emphasis on one's accent. Even if the grammar is wrong they will bash someone's accent if it's not American or British English. I witnessed a lot of that from parents and kids when I attended an international school in Asia.

As a pinay living in south korea for 2 years this is true~ Whenever they ask me where I came from and I tell them I’m from the Philippines… They will ask me If I’ve lived abroad..😂 And they get even more shocked when I tell them I was born and raised in the Philippines..😂😂 Like my grammar isn’t perfect but I guess I passed their “english accent” standard..
