As someone who gets up at 5am year-round, I can tell you the BEST time to see the sunrise is BEFORE it comes up over the horizon. That's when you get those awesome colors. The clouds actually make it prettier if it's the right time of the morning- I live in Washington State, and it's cloudy most of the time. The sun will light up the bottom of the clouds before it actually crests. It's beautiful!

I start work at 6 am everyday so I miss being outside and watching the sunrise. During hunting season I love sitting in my deer stand and watching God turn on the lights. Then watch the sun come up.

Notes for the potato stacks: Peel & thinly slice potatoes. Chop sage thyme rosemary , melt 1/2 stick butter, add herbs, zesty Italian seasoning, truffle-parm-black garlic powder, garlic powder- toss sliced potatoes in butter mix, add salt & pepper, place sprig of thyme in bottom muffin tin, stack 3 slices potato then parm, 3 slices potato then parm, 3 slices potato then parm, bake 375 20 min, flip them, bake an additional 10 min

Loaded baked potato salad is most awesome. Six medium potatoes cup of sour cream a cup of mayonnaise. Sharp cheddar cheese and about six slices of bacon crumbled. Yum yum!!!

I love seeing the sunrise every morning on my way to work. Have y'all ever tried Rastelli meat that is on QVC? Their filet mignon are out of this world. They are so tender, you can cut them with a fork. Love your channel.

Homemade ranch to dip the potatoes in seem like a perfect sauce and if you like steak sauce my 13 year old son makes one by adding equal parts A1 and Heinz 57 and about a tsp or so of water and it is the best steak sauce ever, however most of the time I prefer to not eat anything with my steak if cooked right!
