A lot of people will remember JJ for her "little girl voice" vocals, tinny trills and tight runs on catchy pop songs - but after that performance nobody will be in doubt that she has power, control and elegance. It was a selfless and classy delivery. Any number of artists could have "had a go" at that and slaughtered it. Indeed many have and failed horribly. But that was a tribute in excess of the original track and the original artist. Whitney herself would have had a WTF moment listening to that lol.

@@dcam1445 Having listened to Whitney for half my life that's a rendition I think even she would have been impressed with. Whitney sang that at probably the pinnacle of her career. Earlier stuff might have been highly commercial and a vehicle that shot her to stardom with hits like I Wanna Dance (With Somebody) and So Emotional but they were pitchy as hell - even for someone with perfect musical pitch. However you cut it, that was a damn good rendition and as a tribute I think Whitney would have had trouble finding fault.
