I had to come back and find your quote after seeing it yesterday. I went to my brother's funeral yesterday and came back to an empty flat searching for something to fill the hole and make sense of the day. Wow, this video is so simple, but it hit me so hard. The only time I visited London was when I was a teen. I won a short trip to the UK and it was my first time traveling out of the border of my, at the time, still very politically unstable and poor country, first time on a plane too. It was like being dropped from the sky into a whole different reality. I remember walking the very same streets and parks in awe just feeling the energy of the place, sights and people. There is also one person very dear to me that I associate with the city and I've always imagined myself going back for us to meet again. Once I grow up, once things get better, when I self-actualize. It would be a full circle closed. This video is like a reminder to that old promise I haven't kept, or a reminder that I haven't reached my full potential yet. And just as Gemma is Jessie's twin here, and even though we tend to see ourselves in the people we love, maybe the only thing I will meet there one day is myself and everything I used to be and all who I've become.
