Many people may not understand my emotions about this song... A few years ago, China was locked down for three years due to the coronavirus. Three years later, I lost my job, my grandmother, and no hope. This song gives me strength. Jessie Ware Thank you.

I feel you. Me lost hope and an engagement during the pandemic lockdown in Beijing, packed my belongings left BJ for hometown. It was a war torn place in my heart and I m still trying to recover till this day. My heart was broken, my life is never the same. But hey, it will be OK isn’t it !

Jesse Ware is SO underrated . I love how she brings back the classic Motown sound . While this was playing, I could picture The 5th Dimension singing background with her . I love her music and her silky soul voice just carries you away . I just hate when the song ends . She's a true diamond hidden among the empty cookie-cutter cubic zirconias out there .

I had to come back and find your quote after seeing it yesterday. I went to my brother's funeral yesterday and came back to an empty flat searching for something to fill the hole and make sense of the day. Found myself playing this tune over and over after falling in love with it over a year ago. Reading through the comments , I found yours and it was the closest thing that fitted the day. Thinking about my bros, looking back through time filling me with happiness and sadness at the same time. Reaching out trying to grasp something, ( someone ) I can't touch any more. I'm a 60 yr old straight white male and I'm sitting here bawling my eyes out for the second night running. Sorry to dump that on you fella but that's where I'm at. Cheers.

So lovely - and so painful, all at once. I have done this - so many times. Walking the city alone - sometimes with music (singing to myself, humming along), sometimes just meditating on my surroundings, sometimes utterly lost in my own inner world. Walking and pausing and walking... Aware of my aloneness - aware that I am surrounded by millions of people. Part of the stillness - the quietude. Waiting for the dawn that feels like it will never come - knowing that it always will. Filled with unspeakable relief when it finally arrives...

Easily the song and video of the year. Captures the mood of lockdown and social isolation perfectly. Immaculate and emotional

Without a doubt the best album released last year, an absolute superb piece of work, how the hell can this not get any Grammy nominations? Got tickets to go see her in Newcastle in December, can’t bloody wait

it's already 5 hours, but it's still underrated only 8k views? or should we keep it as our little secret? cause it's too beautiful to share to mainstream people. i'm sorry but it's so damn good

I watched it last year and cried for my London being closed down, now I watch it and cry, reminded that it's back, and what we've been through. And finally, tomorrow, I see you live!

That first “Why don’t you take me, take me home” at 4.03 and then Gemma’s beautiful smile as she walks up Primrose Hill. Perfection.

OMG! I did this! I did this to this very song! The singing of the chorus the humming at the end verses... walking the streets. It’s amazing the human heart can feel so deeply ❤️ Pain and joy all at the same time.

Still disappointed that Jessie isn't recognized as much as she deserves. Both this song and the album (all editions) are the best thing that happened during the lockdown throughout the world. She's absolutely stunning. Love you 😍😍😍

WYP is such an accomplished album, but this track indubitably stands as one of the best tracks in Jessie's discography. It's a grand, stately and anthemic reminder about how someone you love can help you get through hard times. A great message embellished with all the right whistles and delivered tastefully by Jessie's velvety vocals.

Jessie's wonderful What's Your Pleasure album ends with this beautiful track. This album got me through the bleak year of 2020 - with working at the NHS and even having Covid too. Can't wait to see her live in December and celebrate this joyous album in happier times and surroundings. Hope to see you all there! x

Wow, this video is so simple, but it hit me so hard. The only time I visited London was when I was a teen. I won a short trip to the UK and it was my first time traveling out of the border of my, at the time, still very politically unstable and poor country, first time on a plane too. It was like being dropped from the sky into a whole different reality. I remember walking the very same streets and parks in awe just feeling the energy of the place, sights and people. There is also one person very dear to me that I associate with the city and I've always imagined myself going back for us to meet again. Once I grow up, once things get better, when I self-actualize. It would be a full circle closed. This video is like a reminder to that old promise I haven't kept, or a reminder that I haven't reached my full potential yet. And just as Gemma is Jessie's twin here, and even though we tend to see ourselves in the people we love, maybe the only thing I will meet there one day is myself and everything I used to be and all who I've become. And maybe, just maybe, it's just around the corner. Beautiful, hopeful track. Thank you. ♥
