LUKE 6:12-16 Jesus Chooses the Twelve Apostles. He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all. Mark 9:35
“Disciple” is a student, one who learns from a teacher. 12 disciples chosen by Christ reveal the rule and authority of Jesus. “Apostle" means messenger, he who is sent!

Preach the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel
“The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me; he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to the prisoners;” Isaiah 61:1
But he said to them, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; for I was sent for this purpose.” Luke 4:43
And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14
But when they believed Philip, who was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Acts 8:12
Then Philip began to speak, and starting with this scripture, he proclaimed to him the good news about Jesus. Acts 8:35
But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he was passing through the region, he proclaimed the good news to all the towns until he came to Caesarea. Acts 8:40
The number 12 in Hebrew signifies perfect government-God’s government, divine order, completeness of the nation of Israel. God chose 12 official tribes of Israel. 12 sons of Jacob. Ordained 24 (12 x 2) priestly divisions. 12 minor prophets are in the Bible: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. King Solomon had 12 administrators. The New Jerusalem points to God’s reign. 12 gates and 12 foundations Revelation 21:12-14.
