Thank you, Bishop Robert Barron. Personally, I am a non-sectarian Christian. I remain open, if God leads me to join one of the sects. For now, I have a particular fervor for the ecumenical movement. There, of course, were other very deep rich points in this sermon. I found myself thinking or saying Amen often. One of the beautiful miracles, which the Holy Spirit brings to us, is a single sermon by a warrior of God meaning so much, personally, to so many people. It, “hits us right where we are at; exactly what we needed.” Thank you so much for taking your position and using your gifts to pack so much into a few minutes.

What really hit me today was that business about not being a divider. There are some things in my life where I have to fight for what's right, in my job, my family, etc. But I have to do that without being a force for division. I have to speak the truth and fight for what's right, but still maintain a joyful spirit and not be a divider. That's tough stuff, and I can only do it with the help of God. Thanks to Bishop Barron for yet another great message!

As a recent revert what I see is that God’s Truth is the ultimate ideal in the Catholic Church. That we aim to hold up and pass on God’s Truth, not the truth of the Catholic Church but the Truth of Jesus. This gives me confidence to speak His Truth without getting hung up on some person’s or denominations beliefs. I don’t have to get angry or try to get my way, I just have to give them His Truth and let those seeds grow.

@@PatrickSteil I so agree with you; the Catholic Church & Christians of any denomination tend to get away from Jesus' own Truth as clearly stated in the New Testament for the usual worldly reasons, such as power, personal wealth & superstitions that priests & pastors use to manipulate the uneducated. We have to get back to the purity of Jesus's teachings; BB is helping us in this. In my opinion the Catholic Church & the Anglican Church are today the closest there is to His Truth. You do know that the Roman Catholic Church is calling the religions of the world paths to God? The Catholic Church calls Muslims believers in God. How can Muslims know God when they call Jesus Christ a liar? Muslims do not believe Jesus Christ was the Lamb of God. They deny His death and resurrection for the "sin of the world."(John 1:29)
@mikerose9683 жыл бұрын
@@kendaugherty3828 Its obvious that there are religions created by the enemy to destroy the catholic church . As we know the enemy doesnt fully understand what he is doing . Many of the people in these false religions love God and have a prayer life much greater the Catholics. They will take these habits and attitudes into eternity. Once they see the truth in the next life that Christ is the almighty they will transfer those good qualities of reverence toward him. Thats one of the lessons of the Gospel. When the devil wins he actually looses.

So, I'm game with Christianity. I dont believe everything, but the basic ideas are fine. When you discover the issue of where "consciousness" comes from, youll see, that Christianity has a hold of that concept, albeit through the lens of Christ. You'll wonder how you hold any thought at all, and how the fuck is there any love in the world? You dont have to be Christian,....NOPE! but you may just stumble into asking yourself : "Where are my ideals of self kept? Where do my thoughts come from??
