I find him to be a legend if anything that grew more dramatic over the years and years.

Hi Joshua, Thanks for watching. I find that conclusion to be unsupported by the historical data.

I think that you can begin to see this throughout Mathew, mark, Luke, and John. The reason I say that is they all have small and some significant differences just between them. Such as Mathew is the only one that talks about the earth quake.

The issue i have here is really idk how to prove that Jesus was not a lunatic. How can I justify this

Definitely a question that deserves consideration when exploring the dilemma. It seems to me that a reading of the gospels makes clear that he was perfectly sane.

What about if Jesus were a prophet?

Then he would fall under the “liar” category because he claimed to be much more than that.

Interesting book. I've never heard of that guy before now. Well, I certainly know who Jesus is thank God for that. ;-)

Thanks for watching! I recommend reading C.S. Lewis as he was one of the foremost defenders of the faith in the 20th century.

The trilemma sidesteps the point that Jesus didn't write the gospels, or anything else known for that matter. Matthew chapter 17, the transfiguration: Moses and Elijah appeared to chst to Jesus and then God himself speaks to the disciples Peter, James and John and GOD tells them direct that Jesus is his son. Then Jesus tells them not to mention that God had spoken to them until after ... ,the crucifiction. The only source for this event has to be direct from Peter, James or John, or some other originator of the story (who made it up or happened to be watching unnoticed). The possibility of Jesus lying doesn't come into it. Jesus walking on water, healing the sick and lame... are you saying that the source for these events is from someone called Jesus who is either a liar/madman/son of god, who told someone that then wrote it down? No .. those events in the gospel(s) are written by someone completely different, decades later. Its not about believing Jesus' words as much as believing the Gospels as there is more to it than just Jesus' actions and words. Jesus is pretty shrewd in the gospels as he called himself Son of Man repeatedly and asks everyone to keep his divinity quiet several times to tell the truth.

Love this. I was hoping someone would address the atheists’ argument against this.
