Goodeids like having a winter cool down into the 50Fs or even 40Fs, in fact some species will stop breeding if they don't get a cold cycle. I'm sure the fish you left outside will do perfectly fine!

I watched a long form interview video on the man who kept these from extinct and has spent many decades caring for them and breeding the lines true. I'll see if I can find it. It was probably five years ago. Back when I watched you live stream and offer up those beautiful bags of dirty water for 5 bucks a piece. Love your new place, man. Did some research and found out those are from Jalisco Mexico. They can be found near a town where my parents are from. These would be way cool to have a colony of. I’ll be on the lookout for these on the site
