With all the high winds , bad weather , and dealing with the virus . We finally snuck into a window and was able to pull acouple kings before the winds picked up.

Just rebuilt my 2001. Love it. Got it from a coworker for $300. One piston was bad. Replaced all 3. Honed the cylinders. All back together. Also did an oil delete. Ran 54 with two people.

@@TheSjh196 sorry for not responding sooner....I don't wanna give you the wrong info on a stable ski especially on a yamaha. You'll have to do your homework like I did . I love this ski because its super wide and stable .

Its a 2 stroke but we all know everyone hates the 2 stroke but if you take care of the engine and keep it clean it will run like a champ. I like to run seafoam on every other full tank to help keep the carbs clean. I've invested at least 5 grand into this ski fixing it up. I replaced the seat covers and replaced the engine with all new cables and electronics. WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS SKI IS THE STORAGE IT HAS 172 GALLONS OF STORAGE. I even had a custom rack built for my ski thats removable. This ski is a work horse from hell and the stability is unmatched. Wish yamaha would bring it back with a bigger engine.

nice kings and quick question I am debating whether to get a jon boat or a jet ski for fishing and I would just go in the bays and like to go offshore like you do as well which would you recommended?

You gotta look at good and the bad. If it was me who had to make the decision I would say a jetski. Less maintenance and less hastle. A jetski is pretty much a all around craft especially for bay , offshore, and river riding. AND THEY'RE FAST LOL. I love my ski wouldn't trade up for nothing. If you go in the bay just be careful of depts and reefs.

Yes it's the first set of rigs, normally we'll hit the first set and if nothing . Then we would hit the smaller gas rig further down. The second rig has always been productive but its been real rough for awhile.

@@truckingwithnose we launch from Matagorda. We use the boat ramp at the RV park close to the jetty. As soon as you leave the mouth of the river you can see the rig straight out in front of you. You can't miss it once you get close you'll see all the other rigs around the area.
