You shouldn't get salt water in the hull. The only time salt water enters through is lifting the storage cover, which holds some splashed salt water. Tilting up the cover, water falls into the storage cabin and emptied at the bottom and into the hull. Very minimal, about a half cup.

Hey brother. Okay that bilge pump runs your livewell right. So your dealer should fix it but it is not easy to get to. So they may keep your ski for longer than you want. So what I would suggest is that you book an appointment to have it fixed so you will only lose your ski for a day or two. Take the ski to the dealership so they can see the damage and they will know what to order. Second you can use your ski as long as that seal around it isn’t broken. If no water came out when you pulled the plugs then your ok. The only issue is that you have no screen to filter debris. I would caulk the threads. Then put it back on. It looks like you have one or two threads left. My ski had no livewell so I actually drilled that hole and installed the whole pump system. Also the rinse port nipple that sticks out on the other side… Well I snapped mine off. It was my fault. So I replaced with a new brass rinse port I found on Amazon. Sorry for your troubles brother.
@TexMexOutdoors5 ай бұрын
Thanks bud but I tired to re threaded the screen back on but it would not catch the threads, had no luck. The seal did break so I had no choice to take it in. I already dropped off my ski but they sure as hell asked a lot of questions. Like I told them there was no clear visible damage to the screen. We'll see how long it takes to fix it. Did you make a handy video with the brass one?

Thanks for sharing your video of the cleaning process. You do have a lot invested in the ski for sure. Question, when you're spraying inside the engine can it affect the electronics connections, is it safe if the connectors and so get wet?
@TexMexOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Honestly I don't spray the inside of my like that all the time. It's a ski all connections are and should be water proof. There design to keep water from causing electrical issues. I've sprayed my down 3 times since I've had my ski and I've had no issues yet. One reason why I had salt water in my ski was because the rubber seal under my seat came loose and was allowing water into my ski.
