A cockpit ride in the 757 would be a dream event for me. It's my most favourite of all planes and one I've flown on many, many times. Seeing them slowly disappear is heartbreaking. But I get it. All good things come to an end.

I was lucky enough as a kid early 80s to fly Pan Am Clipper Class out of JFK on a 747 and be sat next to a Boeing designer who gave me loads of 757 paraphernalia before the aircraft was launched, so I've been a fan of the aircraft ever since - Sad for it to be disappearing, but it had a good innings

My bad, I had the takeoff in landscape and the landing in portrait, so I converted the landing to Landscape for this video. I was going to convert the takeoff to portrait for another video, so you could see the landing full screen, but I managed to delete the footage instead by mistake.. gutted

Hi, just to let you know I have just uploaded a flightdeck view(zoomed out) of the takeoff and landing which shows all the pilot inputs, albeit on a B738 - Hope that helps

Isn't it a risk using a thirty year old jet? Surely this should've been replaced long before now

@@chrisrichardson774 commercial aircraft are built to last approx 30k cycles, so they're normally in service for 25-35 years. As they near the end of those cycles the risk of failure becomes greater, so most airlines would've long since replaced them, but when you get a notably reliable aircraft like the 757, some keep them going A comparison example is I have a 25 year old Toyota Hiace van which are renowned for bullet proof reliability, so I've kept it. If it was a Ford I'd have long since got rid of it lol
