@@rohan-ghosh Depends on how often you are using your stove, the altitude you are at, and how cold it is. Typically, a 100 gram canister will last 45 minutes of continuous burn on average.

This is a great review! I would totally get one if I did more backpacking.

Thank you. It's such a great cooking system. Highly recommend for beginner to experienced backpackers.

No cook stand? The one I looked at had a stand. This is no better than my netbook for my hiking and hunting excursions

It comes with a fuel canister stabilizer if you need more stability depending on what ground surface you are on such as a really rocky surface. I've rarely had to use this. In terms of compatibility, weight, and space, a larger stand will compromise these. Never had an issue with the MiniMo tipping over. The fuel canister stabilizer does the job.

@@PacificNWHikerthe one I ordered comes with a pot adapter. For the top to make the platform wider. I will use this and my Flash depending on what I am doing. Ty!

@@PacificNWHiker I got it in. Love the wider pot and fuel control. The flash is great for boiling water but this will be my new go to.

I have the Jetboil Minimo, I believe it's a 1L pot. I'm wondering if the Minimo would be big enough to cook meals for 2ppl. Alternatively, if I need something bigger, I believe I would have to get a cooking system that uses those folding burners with a basic pot that's much bigger.

In that case I would recommend the MSR PocketRocket 2 or PocketRocket Deluxe. Those should be able to hold a bigger pot.

It may not be as efficient as a Jetboil system, but I have the BRS3000T with a 650ml titanium bowl and a titanium windscreen that weighs 12g. It saves 400g of weight and you can carry a second gas canister if you go out to the mountains for more days than the gas you are going to use. We no longer talk about the total cost of the investment.

That's a great setup. That windscreen is a great option to bring for a really nice ultralight cooking setup. I may have to try that with my BRS and Snow Peak mug.

I love how the whole thing just packs up together, certainly more positives with this item and should work perfect for my backpacking trip in July. I haven't decided on a cooking stove yet too many options but I might pick this one up!

I would recommend if you are not worried about going ultra lightweight then the Minimo is perfect. It's not ultra lightweight but lightweight at 16oz. I've used it for years and love it. You could go ultra lightweight and buy an MSR pocket rocket or the BRS 3000 but you still need a lighter and a cup, you get less wind protection, and less fuel efficiency. Either way, let me know what you decide and how it worked out. Thanks for watching.

@@PacificNWHiker The rest of my gear is pretty light, I'll shop around still but this is on my list. 👌
