Because they are wonderful, because my beloved Father 🌹 and my beloved older Brother 🌹 were great fans of this magnificent Prog Rock band, when I was still a toddler... 🩷 ...more than 50 years ago... I remember my living room, filled with those songs... happy faces surrounding me.. Yes, life is a great journey... sometimes happy, sometimes really sad... What a song! What an album! What exquisite performance, both on the record and live!!! Lyrically and musically. Obviously it was hard work for Ian and the boys, but God, it was well worth, to say the least. Creme de la creme and personally, love of my life.💖 Can't wait for the premiere.

When this album came out the school I was in let the 6th formers do a presentation in morning assembly. They blasted this out! I nearly fell off my seat and the seeds were sown. Not bad for a school with a reverend for headmaster. Never happened again though!

This must be one of the last performances of the classic 70's line up. I wonder if Anderson already knew that Barlow, Evans and Dee Palmer were out of the band with the upcoming A album being released as a Jethro Tull album?

No, cause when Ian recorded A it was initially intended as a solo album. So the line up with Barrie, Palmer and Evans still existed at the time. But then the Chrysalis decides that it should have been a Tull album and Ian didn't oppose, so the other 3, not involved with A, discovered that a Tull album without them was coming out only after these decisions and left. Ian said multiple times that he regrets how things were handled.

Through my flat response studio monitors I hear that this audio track could be improved, everything is sounding a bit tinny and distant like a mono recording with a small microphone. A clever audio engineer like myself could vastly improve this by splitting and panormaically moving stuff around with multiband compression and such like. It needs more bass and certain instruments have tone issues...it is a fantastic performance, it is a pity something fantastic could be done to the sound in post processing manipulation...
