This is Tasik Biru Kundang, used to be tin mine during British days. I had opportunity to camp there with my fellow university friends in 1992. There was literally nothing except few kampung houses. The place only developed with apartments and other buildings plus water activities since 2 decades ago. Just passed by this lake 2 days ago

Aha, after spending 3 days of eating non-stop, it's time to shed some calories 😂🤣 👍👍👏 Wintermelon is different from watermelon, honeydew melon, rock melon and cantaloupe as it has a bland flavour. It's treated as a vegetable in Asian cooking. That's why we have to add in meat/chicken/pork ribs and others to make the soup more flavourful. It's known as an alkaline fruit that has a cooling neutralizing effect within the body.

Hi Steve, glad that you're back to Malaysia for Raya😝 Just some suggestions from me, if you're REALLY wanted to enjoy the outdoors related water such as kayaking, I would recommend you to go to Kuala Berang, Hulu Terengganu, Terengganu. There, you can enjoy the kayaking in the Kuala Berang River. This super pristine river are originated from upper stream of Taman Negara ( Terengganu section ). Then it went down to heavy forest area in Green Belt Area of Central Spine Forest ( CSF ). The CSF is a buffer zone of forest that covered up to northern part of Terengganu , Kelantan and Perak ( Royal Belum ). The river then flow along the kampung area on the West side of Kuala Berang before reached that town. The upper part of Kuala Berang River is some of the very clean, pristine and clean fresh water and believe or not, the most amazing thing at this river, we will passing a huge-timber forest along the river bank! Because some part of this river covered with Neram tree ( Keruing Neram ). There is only 3 places in Peninsular that have this trees and Kuala Berang River is of the two places outside Taman Negara than have this amazing view! No wonder it was dubbed as a Little Amazon of Kuala Berang by the organizer that held this outdoors ( Jenoba Outdoors ) I've been there 2 years ago and it was a amazing experience! Believe it or not, this places suchs a gems. Even most of Malaysian didn't know it was exist!😝 When I went there back 2 years ago, I just joined the middle part of the route. Two more sections of this river had been opened since last year. The upper stream of the river that offered a crystal clear of water and the most latest downstream part of this river known as Extreme Route that covered a very long Little Amazon forest vibe. Total of +/- 27km in distance need to be covered for a 2D 1N trip. You should give it a try if you want to see those buffalo hang out on the river bank😝, a village vibe nearby the river and amazing views of Keruing tress along the journey! Oh yeah, almost forgot to tell, they also provide a traditional kampung dishes too in this trip!
