I commend Coach for this. It might be embarrassing to them but it’s more embarrassing that we spend money our time on this team. The amount of talent that’s on this team is insane and we should be much better than three and seven. Sauce needs to get humbled because he is playing horrendous this year and is a big factor in these mist tackles

It is quite embarrassing that they are learning how to tackle mid-season, but it has to be addressed and as much as I love sauce Garner he has to buy in and I'm glad he took accountability and saying he's one of the main ones that have to but it is true he has to get back to the basics and work on his technique

It works to embarrass those who are mailing it in publicly without calling out individual players.
@nicolasolivera65294 сағат бұрын
It's an ego issue if having a tackling presentation bothers you but missing a tackle an a critical down you go after fans for calling you out. Gardner along with other players on that side of the ball in my opinion are chasing stats and rather look good an IG then make a basic play. This team needs more blue collar players . One of my favorite Jets in the past 20 years was Mike Devito. Hard worker team 1st guy.

We used to be "All gas, no brakes". Now, the team identity is "All strain, no brain". The wrong run fits are more prevalent than missed tackles (and we lead the league in that). I was a big JD fan, but now it seems as though his attention to physical traits overshadowed the football IQ side of things. Additionally, Ulbrich's great players overcame the vanilla, predictable scheme. This is the result of the dumb players we have, but isn't fooling the opposing offense anymore.

Sauce is wrong they do need that demonstration because if a coach has to give a demonstration on how to tackle to an nfl team in the middle of November that should be a huge wake up call.

Honestly have you ever heard of any team having to be taught how to tackle by their HC? It's such a Jets thing and it's something you couldn't even make up if you tired. Just clean house of all coaches and rebuild asap, I want Rex because sure he had his faults but Rex wouldn't let this culture much less lazy players be on this team much less be a starter

By PFF metrics the Jets missed 20(!) tackles against Arizona. Gardner was bad, but he certainly wasn't the only one playing badly. The details in the Jets' defensive schemes have gone to crap since Saleh was fired because Ulbricht has too much on his plate to deal with.

Our weakest link on defense is tackling. Has been all year. Until we reinforce that link in the chain, the opposing offenses will continue to attack that weakness. If Sauce knows how to tackle, then he is choosing to not tackle. Which is worse. If all you needed was some humbling coaching, do it. You suck at tackling, Sauce. You are the Zach Wilson of tacklers. You look like a first year peewee player trying to tackle a prize winning bull
