Try with the shot just cover with water and couple squirt of washing liquid. I often just put one coin in so they don't damage each other. Will come out like new

I got one of thse after returning one to riogrande..it was 1/5th the price but the review couldn't say enough good about it when I watched it..I was so worried cause it was so damn cheap...I LOVE IT THAT I BOUGHT 2 FRIENDS OF MINE ONE EACH ALSO ❤❤❤. GREAT quality, a few different settings, I haven't found 1 thing I don't like about yet....well it's made in china...oh well...oh and comes with replacement parts..ALSO... it is so quiet..I use it in my apartment and put a cardboard box over it and can still watch TV in the same room..get one and don't worry about tumbling anymore..👍👍

a couple of things, #1 put what ever you are cleaning in, then put in the stainless balls, then fill to 3/4 to 7/8 full. add one tbls of dawn and a 1/4 tsp of lemme shine. run for 1 hour. if it is not sparkly clean, it never will be!

You guys that have xracks or is leaking spray your drums with that stuff you see on tv i xant think of the name of it but it seals up anything the guy makes a boat and sprays it ....seal it or something. And for you guys that don't have cracks yet paint the inside with that same stuff, you qont be able to see inside but at least it will be usable. Hope that made since.

Without any tumbling media you are mainly cleaning the coins by having them strike each other. If these are junk metal detecting coins with no collecting value over face value then at the very least you should add the stainless steel shot. Adding dish soap is a good thing for all wet tumbling. If its a coin for a coin collection you should only tumble one coin at a time. Even just a second coin being in there you run the risk of the coins hitting each other. I know if it is a valuable coin the experts tell you not to clean it. So I better agree with that statement. You have been warned. But if you want to add a slight bit of extra luster to a already nice looking coin, wet tumble it in used coffee grinds right out of the coffee maker and yes add just one drop of Dawn dish soap. Fill the tank up almost half way with water after the grinds have been added and tumble one coin at a time. Run it on the slowest speed and that almost seems too fast. I have also tried dry tumbling with baking soda and saw dust. I want to give baby power a try. Dry uncooked oatmeal should work well. For cleaning brass, dry crushed walnut shells, work great. 😁

What's the point of tumbling those coins without anything that polishes them? Isn't the point always to use some media?
@Cyberskrimps
@Cyberskrimps 4 жыл бұрын
I wanted to just clean them up so I wouldnt break/jam the coin machine or have them spit back out. But, yes I plan on trying different media types to polish up some other coins and metals.

I bought one and put the shot beads in with some old crusty coins I couldn't read. I was surprised it cleaned them good with no apparent damage. I only used water. The speeds are ridiculous. Even speed 1 is too fast. I have no idea who thought the speeds out but I want to work out how to slow it down.

Find a suitable O-Ring and it will work once again! There is screws on the side to move the motor back and forth so adjust for the correct tension, the belt or O-Ring should have a small amount of deflection and not be too tight.
