My daughter asked me to tie a knot. I wanted to know how to do it so it is where I want it. Bang. This 1min vid was so concise. I told her......in my day we would have to go to the library and get a book, or call someone and ask them if they knew. I had a little moment about the accessibility of modern times.

Glad to help! It's amazing, isn't it? When I was a kid I taught myself how to make jewelry using books and magazines but it was always such a struggle without a way to ask for clarification. I learn best through watching techniques in action, not reading / photos. Boy do I love KZbin!!!

instead of an awl or special tweasers and such... I wonder, If you have none of that available, if you can use, say, a needle or something.

I'm trying to get my knots to be flush up against my clasps on both sides but I'm having a hard time. Do you have any recommendations for that? Thanks :)
@JewelryTutorialHQ9 жыл бұрын
Carley Hall Are you using this method with the awl and still having trouble? The only thing I can think that might help is to start out with a longer piece of cord so that when you're making your last knot you have a longer piece to pull on to help you get that knot tight. Does that make sense?
@carleyhall54669 жыл бұрын
Yes it makes sense, but I still cannot figure out a way to do it, even with an awl. Because the clasp is deep, it's hard to get the knot down there. Maybe with practice, I can get it :) Thank you!
