Hi Grahm. Can I ask why you use the faraday limiter so sparingly? When I see you put it on, it doesn't look like it's attenuating much to anything at all.

absolutely! essentially, occasionally I add transients back to groups if helps with the groove or punch. sometimes it helps bring more groove to a lead vocal if it is over compressed as well.

yes! everything at zero. Added +4 at 16k, input level set to zero, and high cut is set at -10 at 28k

Is it just me, I can't make sense of the drums in the Chorus? Seems totally off beat?

Yea it keeps bugging how out of time the song is ..I was thinking it was the singer that's off beat but it could be the drumz too

Graham seems to be a copy of Jon Castelli or vice versa. Identical template and mixing approach.

I do use Jon’s template as I have been doing a mentorship with him and we collaborate a lot together! But we do have different ears and mix differently. But I do use his template from the gift shop and I apply a lot of his workflows!

@@Gcmarsh5677 I understand. I recreated the template and did a few mixes mixing into the busses. I agree with Jon on the topic of Gullfoss not working great with transient material like drums. What's your take on the benefits of mixing into Gullfoss on instrument busses? I'm still not sure if my mixing decisions or the overall sound benefit from this approach.

@@ronson795 you should check out Illangelo’s Mix With The Masters (the weeknds producer/mixer), he uses gullfoss on the master and explains why maybe it eould help

@@trishnavmixing4779 if you´ve seen it you should be able to explain it in 2 sentences. so please go ahead so that I don´t need to watch it. In the meantime I will do a new mix with it on the instruments bus to see whats happening with and without afterwards.
