The jurors are Allowed to speak AFTER a verdict is reached and the judge has released them. You can’t impose silence upon them unless the judge clearly admonished them not to discuss the trial or deliberations at all.

This is why we were all hoping for a verbal admonishment from the judge to put a stop to the harassment of a juror, a juror’s wife and a member of the public who attended the trial from the public gallery. We knew this would only continue. The judge opened Pandora’s Box by allowing the attorneys to suggest questions beyond the three the Court intends. This is a mess. Not happy with how Judge Carroll handled the last hearing. And I already am fearing the one on the 3rd. Terrible things happening post-verdict by Johns Hopkins and its lawyers. Replay crew: I have jury duty the 1st quarter of 2024. I always used to want to serve, but this case does have me scared now. There are no longer little "small town" matters. Watching lawtube, I see so many random cases being picked up & going big. It's one thing for locals in a small community to know that you were on a jury that delivered a verdict they did/didn't like, but now anyone on the internet & in the media can get after you & this case is showing that even the courts may come for you. I hate this & think it will have an effect on juries going forward.

Jhatch lawyers from what lawtube has shown seem to be the exception to the rule. Some lawyers seem to bend rules/rulings, most seem to be perfectly fine. Jhatch team seems to have dove out of an airplane with a broken parachute with an expectation of the judge catching them before they go splat and say "there there it's ok have a cookie". Are there questionable lawyers? Clearly. But most seem to stay within their ethical boundaries. The only place I'd be worried about is a summons for jury duty to civil court near jatch. May judge carrol pull his gavel out of his desk drawer and tell jhatch attorneys he's tired of the nonsense, to cut it out (and sanctions...all the sanctions).

Courthouse Becky's book & how she talked about jurors & now how the jurors all have to have attorneys is scary. 1 potentially bad lawyer, 1 potentially bad court clerk in the same year from highly publicized cases just worries me that it's the tip of an iceberg or start of a really bad trend. Especially with what those high profile cases out of GA might be bringing. There have always been bad actors that want to corrupt our system of justice, but I just feel like that system is extra vulnerable & volatile right now.

@missmishka8379 the murdaugh situation from the sounds of it has been a possible long term issue brewing for decades. A family that has been sketchy for decades, another family who were at odds with sketchy family may now have tried to get even and messed everything up. The friends of sketchy family are also sketchy (unsurprisingly). The state investigators either are massively incompetent, or are sketchy themselves. (I'm sure there's a few good investigators, but coroner armpit was definitely not a beacon of reliability.) And the lawyers aren't putting the jury on blast, it's just the players who are making a circus. I'd be fed up with the murdaugh shenanigans, but not going "wait the lawyers have now said what?" nonsense that jhatch are doing. Murdaugh is trying to pull the rug back over the dirt, jhatch is fire bombing everything trying to distract from the truth and making things much more obvious that jhatch behavior is appalling and stay far far away.

I think judges could go either way on dismissing for that. On one hand, there's risk the juror would spend the entire trial wondering which side is more dangerous. On the other hand, judges worry that nobody wants jury duty.

I definitely see this as a last ditch effort by Jhac lawyers because now that they lost this case I imagine other folks will be lined up to sue the hospital. IMO this comes across as jury intimidation and am hoping the judge will address the badgering. Juror #1 now needs a lawyer. Who pays that expense? I couldn’t afford it. Nor would I want to be a juror. Jury duty should be a respected service, not anymore. The hospital must be very worried to let these headlines continue. If I worked at this hospital, I’d look for another job.

People have sued JHACH when it was ACH and there have been other cases against JHACH; and, there will be more because humans are humans. Some make human errors and some want to capitalize on those human errors for money when the negligence was minimal and the damages, if any, are inconsequential. In some new cases, there may be comparative negligence attributable to the parents; each case will have to be considered on its own merits and not compared to the unusual facts of the Kowalski case. The folks I hope have not been barred by the statute of limitations are the ones who lost children due to the circumstances that resulted in the IJ related to the pediatric cardiology unit.

One of the questions stated “did you EVER discuss your wife’s post with her, EITHER before or AFTER TRILE” His answer could be “yes” to this but means nothing as it happened after ended when they were free to discuss these things. To me this question could be misleading and should not be included in its current format as he was and is free to talk with his wife about the case the second it end. Salisbury motion was absolute 🔥 & she finally worded her motion in a way we've all been dying to see from Greg Anderson & Nick Whitney who are trying to be professional despite the absolutely ridiculous motions and blatant lies from Hunter & Shapiro. Judge Carroll is going to allow more of these questions than people think, because its been his MO with this entire situation. Whether out of an abundance of caution, or for appellate issues. I like the judge but I'm expecting him to act consistently with how he's handled it the whole time.

Nice Beanie, but every time I look at it, I have to force myself to not read it as a word, meaning, I'm South African, my language Afrikaans, and we have a word "lyk" which has 2 meanings, depending the use of it in a sentence, 1) Lyk = look like or 2) (this is the one that gets me) Lyk = C0rp5e... Imagine if I buy it and walk down the street, it will most definitely make people look twice...🤣🤭😮

#rewatch I was still asleep in Australia so I missed the live. I can’t believe these lawyers ! That poor juror being dragged through the mud, it certainly is enough to turn anyone off jury duty. I can’t wait until the judge addresses it all and I really hope he gives these lawyers a slamming for what they are doing….being sore losers ! What they did to Maya was disgusting!!! Until a huge case like this WINS and they are forced to PAY $$$$ they will never change. Those Drs made a huge and disgusting mistake and should be made to pay. !!!
