I LOVE IT!!!. So easy to install following detections with this video. I must say, for my 09 ram 1500 it was not the same cable as shown on this video. On my truck is was Pink the way you'll know is by shifting your driver side mirror all the way to the left, look inside the mirrow housing, there's 2 small cables running to the turn signal one black and the other one is the power, it could be different colors. That's the same cable you need to cut and tap to in the black box. Thanks you sir for this video and product.

Awesome kit, just installed mine today. I actually went through the rubber boot thing and in through where all the other wires come out (Didn't go through the lower hole). Perfect kit, good length of wire. My only complaint was the connector size for the T-Tap. Trying to get 2 18AWG wires through that red boot thing was impossible!

Thank you for your feedback! Sometimes squeezing the two wires with the tips of the wire stripper, or any pliers helps get them in the jacket of the male spade connector! Sometimes that’s what I do to when making the Y-harnesses.

Hey for your kits, can the power source be tapped/supplied from somewhere different than the orange wire/grey tracer behind the headlight switch like you used in this video? Like instead tapped into the headlight switch could I wire it to the factory auxiliary switches I’d like to group the mirror running lights along with other drls I have. So they’re all on one switch

Hello Evan, with my kit the power source can definitely be substituted with another 12v circuit like the factory aux switches.

So I just installed these mirrors on my 09 ram 1500 TRX4 the turn signals and puddle lamps do not work. If I buy your kit will all three work? I.E the turn signal, puddle, and running lights?

Joshua Maynard, the running light feature will work. I believe the blinker will also, but I’m not 100% sure as I’ve never tried it on a truck that didn’t have the blinker function. Generally the blinker and puddle light feature are flashed at the dealer. The puddle light is not effected by my kit.

Alex aj you need a resistor for there to be a difference in light output when you use the blinker. Otherwise the blinkers won’t work. You need diodes so that the current only can travel in one direction and doesn’t back feed.

On OEM mirrors the wire is black with a grey stripe. On different brands of aftermarket mirrors it can vary in color. The wire position on the plug is noted on the written instructions that are emailed out once the kit ships out.

HKvsGlock, the resistors need to be in to differentiate the running light from the blinker. Since the running light signal feeds through the resistors and is dimmed, you can tell when the blinkers are flashing at full power. Without the resistors in place the lights would be on all the time at full brightness.

The kit will also work on the non-tow mirrors. The orange turn signal lights would be used as the running light. The white puddle light will continue to work as it normally would.

Brandon Parsons, the kits are basically the same aside from the hard plastic cover that Boost uses. The function is the same using the same basic parts. The price point is the main difference.

Is this a universal kit / works with any of the mirrors or dodge only ? Also what size resistor are u using. I built a custom dash / cluster for my 93k1500, and had to use a 100k resistor bridged on the turn signals so they didnt automatically come on the dash when headlights turned on. I currently have the boost version 2.0, and the resistor cancels them out. Looks to be the same module; one wire to mirror, one to turn signal, one to running light.

It is a universal kit, and I’ve actually had a couple people use them in k1500s/Silverados. My kit is similar to the Boost 1.0 version kit.

Question Is there a way to make the puddle light shine white instead of the amber orange? I’ve seen the pics on the other sport rams with the same mirrors as mine but they had the orange amber and I’m really wanting it to shine white instead.

Seems like a lot of work running the power wire through the door, when there has to be a wire in the door that lights up the window switch, it seems like you could just tap that wire and the install would a lot easier. I am going to try and track that wire down.

I tried this and I couldn’t find a wire I could use so I just ran the wire through the door. If you have a Laramie or higher trim then you should be able to tap into the LED door pocket lights. Mine is a sport and doesn’t have those lights in the door. The 2015 and older Rams May have a wire on the window switch that may work as well, but mine is a 2016 and they changed the wiring.

@@DR.Sneed78 The LED light that goes to the door handle. Tap into the yellow and brown wire for an always hot power source. I just installed this exact kit in my 2014 Laramie HD. works perfect without running it through the door.

Nathan Corbett mine is a Sport and I didn’t have the LED light in the door handle. If you have a Laramie or higher trim then you can use that wire. I used a volt meter and tested every wire in my door for a wire that was hot when the lights were on but I couldn’t find one so I just did it like the guy in the video.
