Here's my best idea ever = this afternoon = Josh and George collaborate on a new pedal that sounds like the smell of an old cat pissed-up bass guitar cass! Nerds are the new cool guys! Wait - nerds pick on me though! I need to make cat piss sounds to feel better, Josh im begging you and George......... Please make the pedal that only you and George can make right. Brian wampler is the man but he aint making no cat piss pedal = thats you and George for the win. Without the guitar effects "pedal" industry my life would be so weird.

Great pedal. It sounds awesome. I like the lights on the sliders. I want one but as a Dune fan, I have to make one correction to what Jeorge says: the weirding module is only in the movie from the 80's. In the book, it's the Weirding Way, which is basically a form of martial arts that allows the human body to channel superhuman abilities like super speed.

Dude, at any other point in my life, someone would already be packing one of these pedals into a discrete cardboard box addressed to me. Within seconds of this vid, my eyes were rolling back, with "BUY! BUY! BUY!" echoing in my head. Alas, I'm too poor to buy name brand pedals, and especially NEW name brand pedals, and especially by Way Huge. My used Swollen Pickle is my most expensive, and the best sounding, by far, of any of my pedals. All my pedals are crayons (not any of the actual crayon themed pedals, but like the actual cheap, low pigment, paper wrapped waxy sticks we relegate to children and their graphic master works), and the Swollen Pickle is oil paint. The step up into the sonic big leagues bowls me over, every single time. Damn, I want this pedal. The Conquistador was already in my cue of mythic unattainable pedals to be acquired only through the action of Divine Grace. Now... I don't know which is first in line. I'll have to let the omnipotent 6-9 decide of what I'm worthy, and in potential infinite grace, what order.

The book is way better. The problem with what he said is that the weirding module is only in Lynch's film adaptation of the book. Apparently Lynch wanted the film to have a more technological feel to it and replaced "the weirding way," a style of hand to hand combat, with the "weirding module." Doesn't matter in the slightest to me though. The creator of this pedal had me at "blue box" (nice subtle reference to the completely blue eyes of a spice addict in Dune), then took it and created a device that allows my tone to transcend time and space. GAS is the wallet-killer.

Actually two jihads were central to the story. The Butlerian Jihad was the reason for the formation of special schools. The Bene Gesserit, Mentat, and Suk schools came out of that jihad. Then there was the terrible jihad that Paul saw in his future that must be stopped but at every turn he saw his fanatical armies tearing violently through the universe. I'm from Reykjavik Iceland and it was probably 2002-03 and a friend of mine had his cousin over from Sweden. This guy was a huge fan of Björk and Icelandic band Sigurros. We took him to this tiny club. Basically just a 60m2 living room. Björk was the DJ and the guys from Sigurros were just hangin out and drinking beer. I've never seen anybody as star struck...

You got me really stoked on this. I'm both a JHS fan (and a proud owner of two JHS pedals) and I love the JHS show and I am a huge Dune fan. I don't have a fuzz pedal yet and I thought of adding this to my pedalboard to fill that gap with a synth-fuzz-phase-envelop-(sub-)octave, just because [inspiration maybe?]! (and then I imagine myself covering Frank Klepacki's Dune 2000's soundtrack with a weirding module) But I've read that this pedal is MONOPHONIC, suggesting that it may not handle chords that well, because it fires one note at a time, I suppose; yet I see Josh doing power chords on "Weepy Song" under "minimally-weird" settings and it sounds fine. So what does it mean that it's monophonic? How does it actually handle chords? Is it useful as a strange flavor of fuzz? Can JHS or any reader answer?

Reminds very much of the EHX Microsynth, of which I'm a massive fan. Now add presets and/or separate on/offs and/or midi controls for each effect and you have a massive winner. I hope Mike Matthews and Joel Korte are reading this.

This is my second favorite Bjork album... my favorite is Gling Glow.... Bjork singing jazz with her father’s jazz trio... awesome... she is an amazing talent from her youngest years! Also, suggestion if you like double bass bands would be Butterfly Train... garage Indy from the 90s... led by the original bass player from Built to Spill... thx!!

Sounds sweet! CONTROL VOLTAGE- INPUT (CV-IN) would be incredible. CV-IN is what makes the *MAESTRO RING MODULATOR* an insanely versatile pedal. And don't go by the crappy Maestro demo record video. You've got to hook it's INPUT/OUTPUT and CV-IN to drum machines, guitars, home organs, pref. via a stereo mixer. A simple Yamaha Electone B4CR apt. size little spinet organ is a blast...has a stacked knob for separating snare, hi-hat, kick, toms. send the organ's stereo mix w/ bass pedals, kybrds, use guitar rhythm in the RM's CV-IN to gate say, a fast tempo hi-hat with a root/5th pulsating bass pedal while 'auto accompaniment' on the lower kybrd manual is synced to it's internal bass drum panned opposite ch. to the fast tempo hi-hat... If JHS hasn't made a clone/similar MAESTRO RING MODULATOR with CV-in yet it would be great if you did.😊
