ya, i always faced curdling after adding eggs even little by little, thanks for your tips amd recipe... will try when i goty hands on cempedak.... this is my most favourite cake 😋😋😋

Hi Xiaoyan, I really appreciate that you always take the extra mile to highlight to us tips and pitfalls to avoid👍👍👍 Hope you can solve my doubts below : 1. Can I use this recipe to make into muffins? 2. Can I use Buttercup ( brand) spread as the butter? There is confusion whether Buttercup spread can be used as butter - some say it gives rich flavour but others say their baked products fail! 3. Can I use organic Wholemeal flour instead of cake flour to make it a healthier cake? Will the wholemeal flour lessen the flavour of the cempedak?? 4. The cakes I bake tend to be dense (short) and a little damp in the centre( toothpick comes out with little bits of crumbs here and there) while baking longer causes the outside of the cake to shrink ( harder ). Can I use more baking powder/baking soda to "force" my cake to rise? Thanks very much❣

Hi, glad you like this recipe. 1. Yes, can. 2. Actually buttercup is not a pure butter. I never use that, so can't give you a comment. 3. Wholemeal flour might not suitable for this cake, because it is more "heavier", the cake may not rise well. 4. Yes, you can use baking powder, about 1tsp. But you if more caution on the step mixing egg with butter, then need no baking powder, the cake is rise good enough.

Recommended to use room temperature eggs for this.
I’ve try soon this recipe💖 normally i just use Cempedak to bake a thousand layer cake ‘love it’ but this cempedak butter cake can put how many day in room temperature?? Or need to keep in freeze?? Then Butter is use unsalted or salted butter?

Hi, recommend this cake put in room temperature for 1 day only (next day). Please keep in fridge after that. And both salted and unsalted butter is ok to use.
I hv store my cempedak in freezer. Once i thaw it it will become watery, should I top up some flour first? I hope you can share your tips in english. Much appreciate it🙏

Hi, yes you can put some flour on the watery cempedak first. For English, you can switch on or switch to the English subtitle.

It's about 20 minutes. FYI, preheat to 170°C meaning put a thermometer into the oven and wait until the temperature rises to 170°C.
