Drake, Kendrick, Wayne, keep looking most of them had already released their biggest projects by JID's age. He can do it though, he's been better than anybody else on an upward trajectory for a while now.

Even though JiD could be the one rap is looking for, for someone to lead them, I don’t think it’ll happen. I could always stand corrected and hopefully so, but I think the problem is with the hip/hop-rap fanbase that prefers Melodie’s, beats and vibes over lyricism. Brother man is in his early 30s I feel by now we know that age don’t mean shit in hip hop if it did Drake Cole Kendrick Nicki Kanye Jay and anyone else 35 and up should’ve been fallen off. Griselda popped when they was all pushing 40 and they are arguably the most influential group in the game right now. Age isn’t the problem it’s quality these guys just know how to take any sound modern or nostalgic and do the right thing with it cause they are Artist first that’s why they are huge to this day. Jid is that fucking guy. Been listening to him since late 2017 early 18. Another sleeper I have been listening to is Joseph Solomon since hes bad like 5k subscribers. People just sleep on talen these days.

known about jid for 3 years its weird seeing him randomly become mainstream due to tiktok, thats like the last place id expect him to blow up cause i dont really think his songs fit tik tok music, if that makes sense.

I can't bleave when JID says Eminem ain't his biggest infulence 'cause JID's flows r just so close to the Eminem's MMLP flows, lyrics and ovr all impression. It might be 'cause both of 'em flows r just so clean but idk.

He def has a bit of Em in him I feel like he don’t like the comparison because of the Eminem fanbase and a lot of rappers nowadays inspired by Em usually just end up being clones of hin

@@Will-bn9km Kendrick and Cole? Bro they has said so many times that Eminem is the biggest influences for them. U can hear the infulence with ez but u can't say they r clones lol. If u ment more modern like NF and Joyner... They r not clones ether. They have both their own styles. ( and for a record I don't lissent to NF lol)
