I truly think that Stars is the best track on this project, shortly followed by 2007, and this album fully deserves a 10. The two issues you brought up in your original video on the album, are two of the things that make their respective songs better in my opinion. The length of Baby Tate's feature is what makes it so sweet, and helps the song transition into the second beat. The build up of the beat in stars isn't too long either, it is what makes the song so powerful From this video: I don't think there is any separation of the two artists on Stars, “and now, a word from our ancestors" ties JID and Yasiin together amazingly. I will reiterate, I believe it is the best song on the album.

The first half of stars is one of my favorite parts of the album as well. All music ratings are subjective so I usually don't care to explain why a song is good if someone else disagrees but you analyzed it well.
@all-caps3927 Жыл бұрын
Stars is definitely the best track on the entire trackless however a 10 is a stretch, not to say this album has 0 skips but that doesn't mean it matches the quality in terms of content and storytelling of a true 10/10 rap album and whilst the production is amazing it isn't absolutely mind blowing which is had to be for a 10. It pushes boundaries but not enough of them for the music industry to be changed forever

I don't think the Kendrick comparisons are farfetched at all. Compare them head to head, I'd honestly say JID might have a better flow, and that's SAYING SOMETHING when you're comparing him to someone that I think at this moment in history is objectively the best rapper of all time. The thing that keeps Kendrick far in the top spot for me are lyricism, song conception and flat out artistry, but those things also develop with time. I'm not predicting JID's the next Kendrick, because achievement and impact that monumental literally can't be predicted regardless of how talented somebody seems, but of the current generation? I'd comfortably say he has the best shot.
