Dude wife and i are really liking you videos . Please never stop showing what lure you use on the screen . everytime you change them . Also my wife asked if you could elaborate more on the baits you use . You do it now but not all the time . She enjoys that part. She says it helps her learn and understand more . Like you did with the Strike King trailer on The Jig . In this video. Thank you for your videos look forward to more

Thanks Adventures101! For sure. I always try to show everyone what I'm throwing and what I'm doing to catch fish (and in some cases, not catch fish). Love the feedback, will definitely try to talk a bit more to the camera about what I'm doing with certain baits. Thank you guys for watching!

another alternative to the jig is a ned rig style hook with a craw lure on it, i noticed it keeps the craw claws angled up when it sits on the bottom as if it were a defensive craw, and you can jig it hop it drag it and just many retrieves work good with it set this way, and not to mention it just makes it look more realistic
@LJC323095 жыл бұрын
Great tip Tim. Gonna use that.

Highly anticipating the tourney days vid(s). You are far and away my favorite fisherman. Even if I've never fished from a kayak, I am learning from you ever vid. I went and bought my first KVD 1.5 and have caught several nice bass with it already. I now own Rage Menace's and caught good fish on those, too. I'm eagerly anticipating the frog bite when the weather warms up. Keep up the hard fishing. I'll be rooting you on from the banks here in Kyle, Texas. Peace. Brother.
@GregBlanchardFishing5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tim! really cool to hear your feedback and that my videos are some what informative. Tight lines man!
@timcates765 жыл бұрын
@@GregBlanchardFishing A question, please. I noticed in a video from a KATS tourney, when you were in Texas, that you were measuring the fish down by your feet, and also touching the tail fin. I remember seeing a penalty for touching the caudal in another of your videos. And most of your recent videos have you measuring across your knees. Do the different sanctioning bodies for the tourneys have different rules concerning the measuring process? That's a lot to keep up with for the fisherman.

Greg, Great message “Sometimes the details make a difference” We are often apt to change baits when it is how we fish it that should change. Especially when using our confidence baits. We know they catch fish but give up when they don’t. My takeaway from this video is stay with the bait and change the technique. You could not dead stick the worm as a perfect example. Congrats on the win, I am anxiously awaiting the tourney video?

When spots bite the jig up there, switch to brass and glass doodling to catch the bigger spots. For some reason that worked for me years ago. Try both and see which one outperforms the other in terms of fish size. Same colors you are using. Copper combinations with blue or brown is good in Shasta when they are on a crawfish bite. Good luck!!!! Angel
