Fun day, a little windy! I need to pick up some finesse balls jigs, since each time I fish a football jig near rock, it gets stuck on the 2nd cast. Awesome to catch a big hybrid like that, those things get 10+lbs in my local lake and they fight SO HARD!

Your next challenge should be Gogan bait challenge. Who can catch the most fish on Gogan bait without running out of baits. Since Gogan has a bad rep for not lasting.

I have done more jig fishing this year than ever, and often in the same conditions as the Ned, they both produce, but I must say, the jig is more fun haha, and it does usually catch the bigger fish. You chose a tough time to take a dip, but it does remind me to pack extra clothes, many times I've almost fell in.

That was a great result you and Dizzle had, and always a good time to watch! I'm more of a jig guy, but I do like finesse jigs a lot and will go down to nedjig size. I own that same Dobyn's rod & it's amazing! It's stiff but super sensitive. I use it for jigs & Texas rigs, Carolina rig, dragging football jig on bottom- but my favorite is to use it punching through grass. This is a great length rod (for me) fishing from a kayak.

2weeks ago, I was trying to get a good jig bite but everything was caught on a Shakeyhead jig & Zoom Finesse worms. Green pumpkin and orange glitter was the most preferred color but I did catch some on sand, gourd green, and then morning dawn in a Roboworm. The only jig I got bit on was a Bitsy bug in a bluegill color and a hillbilly magic baby D Bomb. I think a squarebill crank like a 6th Sense Crush 25 in a firecraw color might be just what the doctor ordered. I had just gotten my Lew's Smash spinning combo back from repair and was trying to get some good hook sets on some fast biters. They would just swim up and pin the worm to the ground. I'm going strictly to the Keitech mini jigs now. Crawfish are up in shallows when the sun goes down and early morning. This past week has pushed the bass deeper. But as soon as it stables off, it's going to be jig fishing everywhere!!! Normally I would say a Ned rig would be better but not here. That Grande Bass Baby Rattlesnake in the Christmas tree color is a good worm. But it just depends on what mood they're in.

They both have their place. If you want more bites use the Ned if you want more size use Jigs.

Man I don't know how randy dealt with that wind and a Ned rig. Any light weight and light line in the wind like that with me and I do awful. I loose the feel of the bait on the bottom.
