I'm liking the new views from the tripod mounted camera. It gives us, the viewers, a wider angle view of what you're doing. We can better see what's going on and where and how you're fishing than we get from the chest mounted Go Pro. Solid info today and a couple of nice bass. Keep it up.

I liked the tip about one rod and just fish jigs. Many years ago I did the same thing with worms and vowed to master the bite. When you have just one bait to fish, you definitely concentrate more to be successful. Line watching is absolutely key.

Great video Matt! You're advice to just tie on a jig and practice is spot on! I did that this spring, just practicing along a bank in muddy water after a rain, not expecting to catch anything. I saw a splash past my target, casted to it... and landed my pb!

Hi Matt! I enjoy your vids. Just a pointer here for all jig fisherman. Coming from hardcore ‘ol salty jig’n pork dude. Compress weed guard /whiskers down as close to the barb as you can and snip off excess that pass the barb. Keep weed guard/whisker as close to hook point as possible. And split the whiskers up in a fan shape. Guard will and can get a bit stiffer knowing its a bit shorter and will keep jig from fouling up on wood, brush, dock cables. Knowing the gap between whiskers and hook point is tighter and wont allow jig to wrap around a limb or cable. And yes, JIGS catch Dooooongkeys!!! TIGHT LINES BRO!!

Always wanted to fish jigs heard so much about them. Starting to build my arsenal getting 7'6" heavy rod over the winter. All ready increased my jig totals between football head, flipping, and swim jigs to get ready for the spring. Great video very informative

Thanks for the Jig tips. If you could do a basic how to set up a Jig video that would be great. Select the line, the hook, the bait, the trailer etc......dumb it down for all of us that don't know!

all the lakes in my area of central NC have that same grass. it can grow underwater and reach out 10-20 feet but for the most part it's just right on the bank. the dead stuff underwater is thick and gnarly and will tear up all but the sturdiest baits. like you said, springtime it's just the way to go but summer months not so much.

You may already have a video covering this but I'd like to hear your opinion on jig/spinnerbait trailers and colors for different seasons, water clarity and cover. This is something I've been experimenting with lately since it's gotten pretty cold here in NC. You have great quality content, I always enjoy your videos. Thank you!

A lot of good jigging info. I don't fish a jig much, and every time I catch one on a jig, I'm always surprised. It is something I plan to fish more often, and your videos give me great information, and it really helps that you're local.

Great video. I tried super hard to fish a jig in absolute chocolate milk water and had one bite that I missed. They dredged the area I was fishing last year and in my opinion, jacked up the area. Idk what they did but what used to be 5 feet at full pool is now 3 feet. Makes it super hard to get back to my little honey hole.

Jigs with a craw trailer are my confidence bait. I throw them more than anything else. My LMB PB was on a jig. Black & blue and pb&j are my go to colors. But I try other colors if I'm not getting bites.

I feel the same way about rain. Sometimes it makes the fishing insanely good. Then the next time you fish in the rain you don’t catch anything. I personally like the rain because it keeps most people home. I have more of the lake to myself when it rains. Sometimes.

I wish I could catch a fish on a jig. I have a huge box of jigs, all types and colors. Lots of trailers too. Never catch fish with them. No luck with chatterbaits either. Been fishing for 30 years. Every once in a while I get all pumped about jigs and I try again. I’ve gone out with only jigs for hours and nothing ever happens.

You should try bass bomb garlic shad spray....just don't press it all the way down lol ....it seams kind of gimicy but I swear by it ...I challenge you to have the same lure tied on two rods and use ur dip on one and bass bomb on the other....also when I get short strikes while worm fishing ill spray the top of the worm and hook up more fish
