However in the past, his parents did everything they could to sweep his "secrets" under the thickest rug that could find, but that sent a message to young Josh that he could do these things without having consequences. Just the fact that he molested at least 4 (that we know of) of his own sisters points to the level of mental illness here. I'm so disappointed with the sentence, Josh should have gotten the max. Another miscarriage of justice, Josh isn't repentant, and has no remorse for what he's done. As soon as he gets out, which will probably be early for good behavior, he'll be extra careful not to get caught next time, as the prosecution has stated, cause there WILL be a next time, and it will be worse, as his crimes have escalated over the years.

I'm not sure how that's going to work out with them. After Josh gets out of prison, his sentence includes twenty years of supervision, during which he will be barred from spending any unsupervised time with children, including his own. Family life is definitely not in his future unless he has a fresh batch of kids late in life. None of that is a direct action against Anna, but it does seem to imply that family life as she would dream of it is no longer possible for her.

The courts dropped the lesser charge, but factored that punishment into today's sentencing. Luckily, that charge can be reifiled at a later date. I was personally hoping that JD got the maximum, and recieved 20 years consecutively, for both charges, But with him being on probation for 20 years, prior to release, JD will most likely violtate those terms and serve more time. JD's life as he knew it, is effectively over. I also love the fact that Jim Bob looked p*ssed as he left court today, he should be invesitagted next.
