I just really hate how these men blame the women. I remember a "Karen" or "Darren" video from a few years ago where a man goes up to young women. These women were either late teens or very early 20s. He lectures these women abput wearing bikinis and how it's not right to tempt men. The women were NOT having it and claimed to be not into men themselves. They also just asked him to stop bothering them, but he just went on and on about how these women weren't dressed appropriately *at the beach*. And he was really forcing the Bible on them. Preaching holiness is a sign to me that true Christianity is not the actual interest of the one preaching. I have known a few who were uber religious, not just Christians, but slept around and stole and lied. I was shocked...until I wasn't. There are many fundamentalist religions that look and sound like IBLP. Take FLDS for example. Or even the Mormons. They're taught God is the highest authority, the bishop of the church is under God then the father, then the wife and kids. The Amish teaches similar things. As a Christian, I feel it is important to help widows, struggling moms, fatherless (or motherless) kids, or the elderly/poor. All I know is that this is exactly how my boss' husband ended up in an affair with a single woman who had been her friend. She offered her husband to help the single woman with repairs in her home. And, the rest is history- as was their marriage. You know that JB was loving the adoration of the single moms and I just think that he would not be able to resist that after spending hour after hour alone in the women's homes with them. And, this may be exactly what he had in mind in the first place.

God is the god of the fatherless! I was worn about these types of men when I first divorced, and to also not allow men to have access to my 4 and 7 year old. I either called my landlord to take care of house issues, and I know how to change a lightbulb. My Dad was also great at helping me with car issues. There was a guy in the singles group at my church, were I had amazing friends, but this man never got anywhere near my kids. I knew someone who would leave her young daughter with fir weekends. No one was going to sa my kids! My 38 year old daughter told me I had done a good job, because nothing happened to them. I wanted her to know to be careful now she has 3 children of her own and now single.😊

It is standard operating procedure for predators to seek out divorced, widowed, or otherwise single mothers. The mothers and their children are financially vulnerable, their schedules are chaotic, they are often powerless to resist.

This is a HUGE debate among ultra-conservative Christians. They argue back and forth and back and forth. It’s kind of funny 😂 In my personal lay-person opinion, it seems that most experts agree that “grape juice” wasn’t what we think of as grape juice - but was kind of in between what we think of as grape juice and wine. Because they didn’t have a way to preserve juice, it fermented within hours. So it became slightly alcoholic very quickly. But they also had WINE wine, which was deliberately fermented in wine skins (bags made from animal skin). You probably couldn’t get drunk on slightly fermented grape juice, but it almost certainly WAS alcoholic. I hope you enjoyed today’s journey into the insanity that is super duper conservative arguments that no one else has time for. 😂

Wow! Someone doesn't know their history! Of course he changed water into wine bcuz until we came up with water and sewage treatment plants water was a very dangerous beverage. If people up stream from you are washing and defacating in the water you will get sick! There are also bacteria that can make you sick, also viruses in case you don't know where polio comes from. By changing water into wine Jesus was making it safe to drink. Grape juice without being watered down will give you diareah, but again if your water isn't purified ....good luck!

I think, having some IBLP connections in my past, they use an "adopted" single mom as a tool to answer criticism. One critique I had against the IBLP as a teen is that they are so insular, their rules can't help people in the real world. But they'd hold up their trophy single mom and show how much they help someone with real problems. They are not only helping her but extending an authority umbrella to cover her. All while quietly judging her for the ungodly choices she made to end up there.

I believe he had been physically violent. If a little baby can be hit during blanket training, do you not think a woman could be physically punished for disobedience. I certainly wouldn't put it past some of the men to believe it is their right to keep control. Fear, not respect, is how they get control.

I have long suspected JB wandered. Of course any infidelity would be the woman's fault. I watched a video awhile back where they were all on a treasure hunt. JB seemed extremely interested in Joe's wife, Kendra. It was very troubling to watch. In another video, he commented on how great she looked right after giving birth. Something was definitely off.
