Jim is a proud Canadian. I wonder why he cares about our country so much. I appreciate that he uses his platform for situations like this. Love what he said about us black Americans. He still gives credit to the Wayans brothers to this day

Jim, what I've seen of your work is your use of colour and brush stroke.i found really interesting, and it transfers a language in between the lines of conciseness . Right there's, is where I connect with your work. In between the middle and the end. It's so sublime, I could be looking at a blank canvas within the brushstrokes. The most evocative artist have seen in decades. Thank you so much.🎉🎉🎉❤🎉🎉🎉

Such an intelligent conversation here between the most sensitive and sensible Jim Carrey & equally most sensible and knowledgeable Jerry Saltz...Both making an appeal for justice and truth,fairness and equal society. But only some 300 odd likes ? Are people blind to w hat is meaningful ? Shocked,surprised and amazed that people aren't watching this enough. Ya. Watch this,please.

Good for you Jim! We need to follow our passions and callings, however many of them we may encounter. I was a graphic artist, now I have returned to painting, but I am now also an academic! Who knew I could write and research! Because I didn't say no to a new calling.

The World needs more men like these, this is brave, raw truth and it brings genuine hope to those of us in the rest of the world watching in horror what is happening under that evil. As Jim says, it ripples around the world, our WHOLE world is being destroyed by him, most likely irrevocably? Please no. The rump does have one good feature...he is biodegradable. Keep the message shouted loud, Please. We are watching in hope, every blessing on your great, loud hearts.

The segment (32:00 minutes) addressing healthcare in Canada vs America is NOT an exaggeration! After a series of misdiagnosis and undiagnosis with my Dutch mother and then my Dutch father (emigrating to America over 50 years ago), whose whole family in Holland was cared for graciously by their government… I’ve come close to losing my home. My “Floridian” brother thinks that I deserve this after tripping over myself to help them. He said something like, “you should have thought about yourself first”.

Jim Carrey has been a truly amazing, intense {and neurotic} performance artist. I think he took up visual art and painting as an obsession to discover and to (really) manage his insanities and deep grief and sense of loss.

What a exceptionally perceptive insightful and caring human being, and Jerry Saltz. Kidding, we love Jerry. In fact I was looking for him when I found this. Not worry about the view count this is a legacy conversation that will live on, just like Jim’s art

Seeing Jim's paintings is a great joy to me and an inspiration, but I have to chuckle when Jerry Saltz comes at Trump for calling Adam Schiff, Adam shit, but totally agrees with Jim's stream of insults and name calling towards the president. Keep practicing your free speech! It's our only chance to come close to solving our issues. I still love ya Jim Carrey!

While it is a nice talk (actually it's a stretch, mostly leftie luvvies bashing the right wing), I hope Jim has reconsidered the meaning of his activism and revaluated the classification of "minions" considering we are now looking at the mess of Biden and Harris (in Jim's own words he wanted Kamala, help me Lord)... and all the woke running amok. Yeah, "free speech" is definitely free in 2022.

I started viewing this talk with admiration for the legends. Half way through I am baffled at the spirit of this talk?? My reaction is that the prejudiced judge the prejudiced. I am a Christian who sees that Jesus said, "My Kingdom is not of this world;" He was never political, & did not see politics as a solution. So that is not my heart. Nonetheless, I still am shocked at the hateful ranting & see this: Whenever you lump together a whole group of people as being all the same (conservative Christians), & worthy of a spirit of hate & rejection, & see them all as meriting blind judgment, you have yourself become prejudiced. Conservative Christians are far from all the same. That's an illusion & just ignorance- judging what you know nothing really about, while imagining you do, using selective hearing. I hated Christians at one point, because haters misled me, until I prayed for help, & saw God use some of them to miraculously answer my prayers. I'm a Christian because I've seen miraculous proof of the reality of Jesus & the Bible, when praying to know the Truth of life/ existence. I can say, apart from opinion, that the whole spirit of attack is plain wrong. My miracle with prayer has never ceased in 23 years. I've since seen Jim Carrey speaking about Jesus' love, so I won't judge against him. I do believe in religious freedom for all, Christians & non-Christians, with the true spirit intended for this country. Our God Creator of the universe is a God of free will, even in matters of life & death, even for unbelieving atheists heading toward death. Love wins. Peace. Jesus is real; NOT an opinion. Blessings.
@cchemmes-seeseeart3948 Жыл бұрын
(clarification: we are all heading toward death physically. the word about atheists heading toward death refers to spiritual death, as well as physical death). Also, after my initial comment, I see some mellowing near the end of the talk, that was not the same spirit as the 1st half that spoke against conservative Christian people as a lump group.

Satan's one world religion is self elevation... to lift ourselves up. Our eyes have been open to good and evil, and we sin because of it. We are not gods, and no man is righteous. Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.

a little knowledge, no matter how humble, is a dangerous thing - especially among media celebs. Just because you believe to know Warhol's message/intent, that doesn't exclude or exonerate you from his insight into your own nature Mr. C. As for Mr. S. , we, the few artists of the world, would appreciate you risking to actually taking a stab at identifying the "spirit of our times" in your "art" criticism instead of that relentless - feel good - feel bad - self-analysis, pretending it is "art commentary". I think your calling may have been in psychology, not art.
