Jim Carrey is legitimately one of the best human beings to ever step foot on this planet. I remember watching an old interview in 1992 (before he became famous and all) of him on Arsenio where he joked about having a messiah complex and dreaming about doing divine work like Jesus did. Jim Carrey is of course not Jesus nor God, but damnit with the amount of lives he's helped heal through laughter and positivity he is the closest thing we got to it. I hope this man lives on forever!

I agree. This legend is so honest. But he can afford to be, he doesn't need to work anymore. Still, a lot of famous types like to put on a show or worse, start to believe their own hype. I think that's what the book is about a lot, how people thrust into fame start to believe thir own make believe persona, and think it's really them. It's easier for a comic to say that though because they are always saying things on the edge. And yes he has helped a lot of people, laughing is healing and the world needs it more than ever. And he probably will live forever. Once they capture your essence they can make movies with your likeness way after you died. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4u1ho2wj7V6qtE May the legend live forever!!!

Buy the book. Finished this in a week. The way they have merged the two worlds of fantasy and fiction and had fun with reality is amazing. Loved reading this in these challenging times, it helps you switch off in covid season lol. Jim Carrey is so underrated as a actor and a humanitarian. We all need to buy more books period.

I’ve been a huge fan of Jim Carrey for a long time. But, I was even more blown away when seeing Judy Blume introduce the duo. Well done interview! 👏😀👍

I discovered Jim in '88. Earth Girls are Easy, In Living Colour, Ace Ventura and on and on and on....my kids are professionals now with great lives absolutely grew up with Carrey and watched Pet Detective about 100 times with me and have developed great senses of humour. And are great people. Currently, they work in the belly of the beast in East Vancouver, one as an RN at the infectious disease centre and the other as a social worker. 45 clients and he has to chase them down in the streets (during the pandemic).....amazing good people. ...humour (laughter) is the best medicine.

Jim you inspire me, remember the $20 you hid in plain sight for a person to find? I was the only person who did not take the money, I could see you hiding and I was thinking the money belonged to you not me so I left it, sorry I disappointed you but at least you know how to identify me, love you mr. do gooder

Please ask Jim and Dana to come to some Chapters/Indigo stores in Ontario for some book signings. You would need a freight train to carry the millions of copies of Memoirs & Misinformation that would be sold.

What would be my favorite comfort/thinking movie?...hmmmm....my most recent “comfort” / thinking and sometimes sadly disturbing movies that I watched are “Night At The Museum”. “Fiddler On The Roof”, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, “Cheaper By The Dozen”, “Holes”, and so many many more. I hope all the great movies of the past always stay present.
