@@ufinc Both are opportunistic hunters that spend most of their lives just doing nothing. They wait for their prey to come to them, and at the perfect moment they expend a large amount of energy to quickly and violently pounce on their prey, then go back to chillin. Hopkins used the behavior of those predators as inspiration for his Hannibal Lector character, just as Jim Carrey used birds of paradise as inspiration for Ace Ventura. Hope this helps! :)

I had a similar experience with Anthony Hopkins! He sat behind me when I had to take him from a private jet to his hotel . As I was driving off he leant forward and in his crocodile voice said how long is it going to take ..! into my ear. I can tell you the hairs on my head stood up & tingles shot down my spine! I had to keep checking all the way there for an hour! Very scary because he was such a gentleman (but I'm thinking no he's not really)... 😮
