Life is so goddamn cruel to take the voice and then the life of a man so colorful and happy as The Brain.

I didn’t grow up watching Wahoo but from what I hear about him he was as legit as anyone to ever step into a wrestling ring. From all the stories I heard about him he was a total badass who nobody messed with he also had a good reputation in the locker room among the other wrestlers and was well respected. I wish I had the opportunity to grow up watching him because I would have definitely been a fan of his.

From a Wahoo interview "They followed me in a car to make sure I didn't stop. It was brutal. Finally, I reached the top of a hill, and below there was Chickasha. Thirty-six miles in exactly six hours. I collected $185 for that."

Like flair said, wahoo used to be pro football star and the stadium would chant yahoo wahoo, got traded for Joe Namath because only one super star per team was allowed, he found out while drinking with Micky mantle one day his manager called him in New York. He was always famous and a man's man

Ric Flair has a hang up with Wahoo. Always bringing him up in interviews. I never saw the appeal with Wahoo.

Bobby is right, wahoo would've elevated divisibility of the title at a time that pro wrestling in general was foundering. Briscoe versus wahoo, Oklahoma, versus Oklahoma State, Choctaw, versus Chickasaw, football versus wrestling. They missed that because they were scared of Wahoo
