Remember Tony never released anyone, every toy is important to him. Ironically this happens the same day as Punk's interview happens. Ironically Tony said it was for "Budget Reasons" When has AEW worried about budget? Sure it's mostly jobbers or people on ROH but there was a few interesting stand-outs. Dasha who is a really good ring announce. The Boys, were currently part of a feud between Dalton Castle and Johnny Nitro/Impact/Mercury. They also have proof that they were not released for "no-showing events' calling complete bullshit. He also fired Brock Lesnar at Home, Parker Boudreaux who has now been fired from AEW and WWE. Plus Stu Grayson from the Dork Order for the second or third time. The biggest insult and I don't even know the guy, is Anthony Henry, a guy who got injured by another AEW/ROH talent with a broken draw at an indie show. So Tony fired him. But says he'll rehire him after he heals. JFC, that is Vince's level of bullshit. So the guy has to pay for his own medical bills. Also, Anthony Henry better demand a bigger contract. The timing of all of this, is clearly more retaliation because of Punk, including "Stand Up For AEW" speeches and now the "release of the ALL In" footage.

Most of these guys were on ROH. Another reason we never saw them. Releases the twins with a bad working car; a guy that lives in a shithole, works a second job, and broke af, and another with a broken jaw that thought about retiring, and I’m sure there is more. Are we to believe cutting these guys is going to land a big fish. These guys were poor. They would wrestle for two hotdogs. Why doesn’t he get rid of cabana or hagger. Guys that are doing nothing, old, and terrible in the ring.

Most of these are or were performing on RoH TV, which is why you haven't seen them. TBF, they have been reasonably regularly seen on RoH.

Realistically, this handful of releases doesn’t really save AEW any significant money. AEW could cut 25-50% of their roster and it would have no impact on their TV program.

I think this was done solely in response to being called not a boss. The timing of it gives that impression. I doubt it's gonna last. Once they think this CM Punk stuff has blown over, Tony's going back to trying to be friends with the boys.

Punk common on "he's not a boss" triggered Tony so hard that he decided to make a release on April Fools day and worse, one of the releases was injured and Tony couldn't handle the backlash that he claimed in the media scrum that the guy would be hired back once he has fully recovered.
