I've never laughed so hard in a DSOTR episode since the first 15 or so minutes of the Plane Ride one. Between Nailz not knowing what "animosity" meant and Meltzer bringing up Vince portraying himself as the babyface by going to court in a neckbrace, my sides were splitting hard lol

Vince reminds me of Bill Murray in that great trashy ‘90s movie, Wild Things…as soon he gets the not guilty verdict, he rips the neck brace right off in the courtroom 😂

Dark Side of the Ring needs some movie length episodes. The Steroid Trial should've gone for 2 hours.

loved watching mcdevitt throughout the whole thing. saying that 'maybe reagan had the wrong lawyer' was absolute badassery.

I'd love to see them cover more topics from the Ruthless Aggression Era. Particularly these

A thing missed on this episode was the World Bodybuilding Federation founded by Vince Mcmahon on 1991, where you have bodybuilders using substances for the "muscular gains", even more than in wrestling. At the end the WBF was a failed experiment, since the established company the IFBB (owner of Mr. Olympia) was too strong to be defeated on PPV sales and events, but this is a link for the steroid source used in wrestling.

McDevitt deserves an Emmy for his performance.

Won't lie I saw the thumbnail before I watched the episode earlier today, my initial thought was, based on the artwork 'Ah shit, was Yokozuna on the roids as well?!'

This season wasn't all that great. They really need to do a story on '97 Starrcade main event, and the backstage stories about the finish and Sting "not being there", metaphorically. Bischoff has some explaining to do...

Majority of these grown ass men were taking steroids way before they ever came into the WWF. It's also entertainment and steroids weren't always illegal back in the day

I really wish there was a Dark Side episode about the deadly plane crashes in the '70s but hardly any survivors are still alive with the exception of Austin Idol & I'm pretty sure Ric Flair is out of the question after the Plane Ride from Hell episode.

Wondering if anyone else noticed Jericho only had 1 line as narrator this episode and he sounded absolutely wasted.

I think Prichard mentioned once on his show that McDevitt wasnt involved in the World Wildlife Fund lawsuit. They used someone from their London firm as it was held in the UK but they wished they did have him for it as it may have turned out differently

Let’s face it, WWE was blatantly providing steroids for its top talent, just look at Hogan and Warrior during the late 80’s. However, the business was changing, for better or worse, and pumped up muscle guys were the thing. It was business. Illegal or not, money is money and don’t be so naive as to think top businesses don’t dabble in the illicit underworld to make quick cash. That’s how the world works.
