I lived in Tennessee in the early 80's. We got Memphis and Jackson tn at 9 am until about 11 play for an hour or two watch Georgia championship wrestling and midsouth then about 5pm we'd two or three hours of Crockett. About 10 years it was like this for me. I can never be loyal to vince.

I live in Kennett, MO. KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, Ark was our closest station. I only recall Arkansas Wrestling on there. I watched Memphis shows on Memphis & Jackson TN. I got Jackson on my grandparent's tall antenna through the '70s and later on cable in 1980.

Grew up every Monday night of the 80s and 90s going every week to the Mid-South Coliseum to watch Memphis wrestling!!! So much fun with of course Jerry Lawler, Dutch Mantell, Bill Dundee, Handsome Jimmy and so many more. Then in the 90s when Lawler started working for WWF we started getting 3 or 4 WWF guys a week to come in. As a 10 or 11 year old in the early 90s I had Bret Hitman Hart actually put his wrap around pink glasses on me like he always did 1 kid around ringside before he got in the ring!!! I felt like I was famous that night!!! Lol. I thought me and the Hitman were best friends and were going to hang out afterwards but we never did!!! Lol

The Wrestling Gold series did have a couple of Memphis Colosseum shows, including Randy Savage vs Austin Idol.

I agree. I don't remember any Memphis Wrestling on KAIT 8 in Jonesboro. I remember mainly watching Bert Prentice's shows on there.

It was awesome! The hour-long Channel 9 show came on right after the 90-minute Channel 5 show ended (unless the NBC network was airing an NBA or MLB game). I remember watching the highlights of the infamous Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl on Channel 5 with my brother and then seeing the whole match later the same day! The funny thing about that Brawl is that the Tupelo Sports Arena was incapable of holding all the people who claim to have been there that night... even people who weren't even BORN when it happened say they were there!
