I was there. I paid 120 for an all access ticket and had free photos and autographs from everyone including Jim and the Midnights. I was standing right next to Jim as he was screaming and walking out. The show was still fun although I was looking forward to Midnight Express vs Rock N Roll. Instead it was Rock N Roll vs Beefcake/Valentine with Foley as special refereee/enforcer. I got my moneys worth.

I was actually on this particular show. It was complete chaos backstage. Nobody really knew what was going on. Sherri Martel ended up taking control of the situation and the card started coming together. It was originally going to be me working with Koko B Ware but it got changed to a six man lol. Well long story short I started hearing about the money issues. To my surprise the promoter actually handed me a check. I really wasn’t expecting anything due to all the names needing to get paid. So I went to his bank when they opened the next morning and cashed the check before anyone else who got a check cashed theirs lol. I believe he never ran again

I've planned events with guests, and that's why I don't block rooms off in hotels. The hotel holds the event planner responsible to pay for the blocked off rooms if they're not filled. I go with a discounted rate and offer various hotel options for guests. Only reason to promote the one and only hotel is if that's where the event is held and is at least a four star hotel that offers incentives for guests (Free food, free transportation from airport to hotel and back, free transportation to hot spots of the city, etc.).

This is why we can't have nice things here in Indianapolis. I was at the Hoosier Dome for Wrestlemania 8, and when the show went live on PPV, there was still a few thousand people trying to get into the building and to their seats, because they didn't open enough doors do to staffing issues at the building, if memory serves. Probably why Vince never came back.
