@@maxxdahl6062 Ok, in fairness to Nia Jax her stuff/dangerous working style isn't entirely her fault. Ik she has some control over it but the fact is that when as a wrestler you're given minimal training and then expected to great you end up not doing well. Take Goldberg for example. Whether you like him or hate him the dude (by his own admittance) was brought up way too early and was far too reckless in the ring. Bringing the conversation back to Nia Jax I just would like to point out that there's something to be said that when a woman who is very large both height wise and size wise to her fellow competitors that she might be a little snug in the ring. I'm not excusing her from being a dangerous worker, all I'm proposing is that perhaps we look at the objective issues instead of placing the blame on a wrestler who was given way too much way too fast. Like it or not, Nia Jax is this generation's Mabel/visera. She's a wrestler who although she's not out of shape she's just larger and as such has more force and momentum behind her movements. I used to trash her like anybody else, then I sat down and thought about it for a minute and refocused my mindset on the matter. Now you may not agree, and that's perfectly fine. All I ask is that you think about it.

For those who never heard of him, Ron Etchison "The Old Pro From St Joe" started wrestling in the late '30's and spent most of his time in the Central States territory. He headlined in the '50's, often feuding with Sonny Myers. He wrestled until the mid '70's. He was smooth and slick and quite capable of stretching younger wrestlers that tried to get too cute when they wrestled the old man. He never married and died nearly comatose in charity hospital, occasionally being visited by old wrestling friends like Bob "The Big O" Orton Sr.

Jim probably has an older fan base. I'm 50 and have been watching since the first Wrestlemania. For many of us it's an interesting segment because while we heard about alot of these names we never really got a chance to see them because our internet or KZbin was the wrestling magazine and the occasional videotape although videotaped footage didn't become more prevalent where you could see other territories till about the late 80s ....hope that helps by way of explanation on why its a popular segment 👍
