Orange Cassidy popping up was easily the most off-putting thing about the match. Here you have 4 guys fighting seriously going through windshields and then suddenly Orange Cassidy just pops out the trunk for the lols. Seriously if AEW wants to push Best Friends as a legit babyface tag team then at least stop having Orange interfere in their matches because it makes them look like a weak tag team.

Yeah, but how many of them have the longevity, seniority, and Industry pull that melts or has? I mean, there might be a point that Bob's podcast and Tom's blog both gave this thing two thumbs up, but I don't know who the hell I either of them are and I don't care. Meltzer's been doing this crap as long as I've been alive and unlike a younger person has a long history of things to compare to when deciding if something is a 5-star review. So Bob maybe giving it 5 stars but he's only 25 years old. Meltzer has seen some of the true Classics in action. As for me? I think the whole concept of best friends as a tag team is something that belongs with Saturday morning cartoons and big bowls of Cheerios, but I cannot and will not ever take Cassidy seriously. The real question that remains unanswered. Who are the "cool kids" Uncle Dave is trying to impress. Ive watched pretty closely since the beginning. Dont see many cool kids on the roster. Scrolled the fan base in the audience a few times . Not to many cool kids in the audience. Maybe Dave is trying to get in line for Trents Mom. Heard Daves next after Tony Khan after Orange

I'm guessing he means that Meltzer thinks they're cool. Jim seems to be aware that they are dorks.

I thought it was an entertaining match, but I kept thinking, "They are killing themselves because Santana and Ortiz smashed up a mini-van, bleached some clothes, and didn't apologize for it. This seems like a disproportionate response." I mean, I've seen less gruesome revenge matches out of guys who nearly had their careers ended or their wives kidnapped and tortured.

I’m not a fan of parking lot brawls, except Cena vs Guerrero, but I think this was fine. I wasn’t a fan of the story leading up to the match, but I think Trent and Santana both had great individual show cases within the match.

These types of matches shouldn’t even have star ratings. With that being said, I had no desire to watch this match at all as it was about to begin, and I even almost turned off my television before it began, but I stuck around to watch it, and, by the time it was over, this match totally won me over and I even popped for the Orange Cassidy spot. This is one of the best things I’ve ever seen on AEW programming. Even Jim Ross said on commentary that this was the greatest street fight he’s ever called in his career. And it just might be the greatest street fight I’ve ever seen in my 15 years of being a wrestling fan.

OC was long-form storytelling because he has shown up at random on Santana and Ortiz a few other times in the past. Makes sense why he would appear not only to help his friends out but also he and PnP have a bit of a history going back to last year.

I personally loved everything about the episode. the parking lot brawl was the greatest surprise of the night. Im sad for anyone who didnt enjoy it. And for the record the last 10 episodes of dynamite are the reason Im even watching wrestling again. I thought it was all boring bullshit not like the old days. Now I see all this stuff tongue and cheek and all I am enjoying it. Im 33 and if you had asked me 3 months ago if id care about wrestling i would have laughed. i view this stuff as a complete success.

nah, it's not. Some of what he says is on point, but it's a different time. I mean, when every other wrestling site is loving this, when your wrestling friends love it, then it's well loved. it's just age and that "Back in my day" mentality. remember, this is the guy that feels mandy rose and sonya deville should have been fired for breaking kayfabe when a stalker broke into their home and the police got involved. He liked it though, just can't bring himself to put it over.

I think Big Dave has gotten more lenient with his ratings when you consider this got 5* and things like Undertaker/HBK didn't, HBK/Angle didn't, TLC2 didn't, Savage/Steamboat didn't, Bret/Owen didn't, HHH/Foley street fight didn't etc

I liked it because of the finish, because it was the typical run of the mill fight until Orange and the flip off. I agree with Jim's thoughts on it, but I watched it for what it was and did not expect it to even be 1% serious; therefore, I enjoyed it.
