I think she was okay as a tag wrestler with AAA(the team, not the promotion...she got a talent for choosing/accepting bad names), and has done okay squashing some smaller women. But she's disappointed me several times on the independent circuit, be it "competitive" singles matches, jobbing, or tagging with anyone other than Perera...I haven't watched all her work, but I can see why people have a negative opinion. Take her match with Rebel to face Britt Baker. She's supposed to be "Big Swole", the one Baker fears, and she's getting her ass kicked by the woman who doesn't wrestle. And then the come back spot, and they botch it. I wouldn't call her the worst worker I have ever seen based on that, but that match did NOTHING to make me want to see her and Baker.

I think of the Jim Cornette Experience podcast as a verbal equivalent to a Destiny 2 Nightmare Hunt. It's long, scary to listen to and adrenaline driven with the possibility of killing yourself laughing maniacally when it's over because it drove you up the wall insane 🤣🤣🤣🤣

listen to Cody - he thinks heels and babyfaces are old hat and shouldn't be used, but if you know you're watching something scripted, how do you get invested without something to make you care about one winning over the other? I can listen to arguments about whether it needs to be done in a more nuanced and subtle way than previous eras, but you still need some personality dynamic in the match to draw people in

@@Jabbaro123 There are a lot of flaws in modern wrestling that show up when you compare them to a TV show or theatre. If someone throws a punch in a film that clearly misses, they would reshoot it, but if someone misses people on a dive, everyone falls over as if they were battered! Trouble is, there are a group of hardcore fans that will just claim people who want something different are out of touch. TV shows are fake, but you don't get people doing obviously fake things within them as they make efforts to make them look real. If someone flies on stage, you don't get the rigging crew come out and attach the cables in front of the audience to remind people that they're watching a production, but in wrestling you see people waiting for their next spot. It wouldn't be so bad if they could even make it look like sports, but with inconsistent rule enforcement (not to mention being the only 'sport' where they stop broadcasting during the action...) they can't even manage that.

As an AEW fan i can say this was definitely the worst thing they've put on a ppv and maybe on at all. It was horrible, embarrassing to me as a fan and (hopefully) to the wrestlers , and maybe the worst ppv opener of all time. Tony Khan should be ashamed he let this air and no one should defend it.

I'm sure those two ladies are embarrassed. Aew fans have given up on them completely after that match. And Hikaru shida shouldn't have been wearing that final fantasy outfit at all in her biggest match too date. That's kinda goofy and all she does is running knees and suplex.

@@nh7680 exactly and now all the wwe guys hold the men's Titles in aew. Moxely vs MJF was not good and very anticlimactic. This looney tune Moxley wins with the finisher that was banned for that match and laughs on camera as the shows goes off the air. What was the point of stipulation if he was just going to win the damn match with it anyway 🤦‍♂️
