But is this worth calling a cliche? This is so true! So many stars in WWE got hype squashed when they just chose to work all dates, get shoehorned into random tag scenarios, random feuds and just wouldnt go away in last decade. Charlotte literally only went away to get her tits done and Becky to have a kid. Guys barely ever go away through injury or otherwise. I think the young guys will actually listen to Punk when he gives them advice. When JR, Arn or Jake gives them advice, they seem to ignore it because the young talent considers those guys old and out of touch. They fully respect Punk. Plus Punk likes to coach so I expect he'll be pulling a lot of young guys aside and helping them improve.

You called it. Many young AEW stars (Wardlow, Hobbs and Allin to name a few) have come out to say Punk has helped them tremendously.

Well, a few did. Unfortunately, the kids who Tony made EVPs wanted to tell everyone what to do and it didn’t go over well. Especially given that they were leaking lies to Dave Meltzer to try to undermine Phil Brooks. So he had a little shoot on them, which they didn’t like. Stone Cold would have done the same thing. For the guys who get wrestling, it’s about respect, especially for veterans and legends. Punk is there to help guys get over, but if you disrespect him, he’s going to bury you. As any veteran would do. There are a lot of people defending the 3 twatsicles right now, and it’s embarrassing to the business.

The UFC thing regardless of the outcome took huge balls. Nobody can discredit that. Win or lose it’s definitely a testament to someone’s heart and ball size.

I'll put it like this: Punk's UFC career met expectations. The performances were not surprising, nor were the results. Anybody who expected more or less than what happened is/was blinded by bias in either direction. Shame on UFC for making it into a bigger circus than it already was, though.

Nope, actually shows what brain for making money he has he took Dana white for shlt of cash for 3 UFC matches he know didn't really stand chance it. Same as he milking Tony khan for much he can get he knows even his hight he drew 4million viewers in reality at this time he go get Aew just over a million views which there at on good week anyway. I may not like punk but I give him he smart at making cash

@@DGenerationMC Dana White played Punk. Every wrestling fan knew Punk would get starched because he wasn’t even really an athlete in WWE, he’s a story teller. If you gave Ziggler or Shelton Benjamin 2 years with Duke Roufus and put them in there with a 0-1 guy they’d have a good shot. Everyone knew Punk was gonna get laid out so Dana could use it as an example of how much more elite UFC is.

@@phillbarlow125 I'm sorry but Dana White pimps the hell out of the UFC superstars even his biggest draw McGregor. There is no way Punk milked him out of anything. Punk a smart businessman but no one is getting over on Dana and UFC. They pay their fighters like shit.

Are you sure it's not? I mean this one bit was was great but I don't see a ton of differences between AEW and WCW at its worse. The EVPs are every bit as self indulgent and self destructive as Hall, Nash, Hogan were in wcw. I want AEW to be better but I'm not seeing it right now
@vinsel3 жыл бұрын
@@markhayes4347 nobody outside of the cruiserweights could put on a wrestling match in WCW. Any given night in AEW, you could get a 5 star match from Kenny Omega, Darby Allin, Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, CM Punk, Jon Moxley, and soon Brian Danielson.
@markhayes43473 жыл бұрын
@@vinsel I think you're massively over-rating Allin at the moment Jericho's 5 star matches are well behind him and Omega and the Bucks are more interested in self indulgent spot-fests.
