Here's what I think will happen: Rollins wins MITB, runs in on Roman vs Drew at Clash at the Castle, pins Drew to win the title, which allows them to get the belt off Roman while also protecting him. Roman takes a few months off, returns on the first SmackDown of 2023 and declares for the Rumble match. During the Rumble match, we hear The Rock's entrance music, but it's a fakeout. Cody then makes his triumphant return, and he and Roman are the last 2 in the Rumble. Cody wins obviously, then cuts a promo saying that he doesn't care about the Universal Title. He only wants the WWE Title. So the main event of Wrestlemania 39 is Roman Reigns vs The Rock on Night 1, and Seth Rollins vs Cody Rhodes on Night 2. Cody wins the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 39, and Seth moves to SmackDown until the 2023 Draft. Roman regains the Universal Title, and while all this is happening, Bron Breakker will get the callup sometime between Mania 39 and Summerslam 2023. Bron Breakker goes on a tear, wins the 2024 Royal Rumble, and he becomes the first man to pin or force Roman to submit in over 4 years, thus giving WWE their next megastar.

Cody Rhodes has made Tony Khan look like an utter fool. Khan honestly believed that Cody Rhodes wasn't worth 'Punk Money'. Cody left, and in less than three months, has two 'All-Time' memorable moments, had the best feud in the company with Seth, with each match with Seth being in the argument for best match on their respective PPVs, elevated himself to another level with this performance and is now in the 'Will beat Roman clean for the title' category. He's going to take four months off with the entire wrestling world anticipating his return. Probably come back for the Royal Rumble (Might even be the number one entrant). Win it, and then take the title off of Roman. He's literally going to be printing money.

I think Cody needed a fresh start. The AEW crowd was never going to accept Cody and Brandi trying to be stars outside of wrestling. In the WWE, that's par for the course.

Tony Khan was not a fool at all. AEW Cody Rhodes was a disaster and Cody was showing no signs at all of being able to "fix" himself in AEW. He was absolutely NOT worth Punk money.

If you´re blaming Vince for letting Cody do this match, you got to outright condemn Tony Khan, the booker of the century, for letting Jeff have any match at all. Especially some 3-team-ladder-bullshit...again.

Khan is just desperate to host a Jeff Hardy Memorial Tournament at this point. Should be forcibly retired for his own good. Brutal just seeing him walk

Agreed, it’s almost painful to watch Jeff wrestle now. Makes me sad.

I can take you one further. Khan sent Matt Hardy back out to finish a match after he got knocked unconscious during it.

The fans cheered for the table because earlier in the show they were denied tables by Happy Corbin. Had Madcap Moss used a table in that match I think it would have been okay This is why you book your card bottom to top

A face doesn't need to go over to get over. They just gotta fight til they can't anymore, or get outright cheated out of the win. In fact, sometimes it's better if the face loses.

The match felt real it had this realism to it with Cody looking so banged up. This was re-freshing to see a Wrestler (not sports entertainer) a fucking wrestler go out there for US and gave US everything HE had. It'd be a quick push, but Cody should be healthy in Dec/Jan. They could have him come back and win the royal rumble. That would then give him a clear shot at the title at wrestlemania.
@zachscott54202 жыл бұрын
I know he’s clearly the guy who SHOULD take the belt off Roman and stop this run. But I feel like Vince still was gonna seperste the belts arbitrarily and let Cody beat idk a drew, orton or who knows 6 guys in some insulting match for his first world title. It just feels like the original plan was for him to win it somehow, whether it was off Roman controversially so Roman and heyman could point to ____ reasons why he lost. Or like I said just not stopping the Roman train at all and winning a title that just appears on raw one day. As good as Cody is right now, it still feels like Vince doesn’t realize how good it actually is, cause the products been so shit for so long.
