I found it funny that as Austin Theory and McMahon are celebrating, Theory’s theme song hits - and Vince reacts thinking it was Austin.

Once Vince started his schtick I knew Stone Cold was coming out, this missed reaction confirmed that for me. I for one would have kept the same scenario, but would have had the referee “knocked out” to have Stone Cold come out to give McAfee a three count, then give out the round of Stunners.

You think Vince cares what the marks think, let alone Meltzer? 😂 He doesn’t. He’s a 75yo CEO. He wasn’t reading the newsletters 25 years ago and he’s not on message boards, reading websites or listening to podcasts today. Whatever Vince does, he does for his own entertainment or the entertainment of the people he works with. Including having McAfee sell for him. Marks will literally convince themselves of anything.

Yup. I heard Logan Paul's match was pretty good and I'm not surprised, he's in good shape and if his boxing career (if you can call it that) is any indication he'd at least take it seriously. Meanwhile the actual wrestlers in one company are just doing matches planned out ahead of time by someone else while being told by management that they're not doing a wrestling show, meanwhile down in Jacksonville all most of the guys (and girls) care about is getting stars from Uncle Dave, AKA the world's biggest mark.

Vince botching the stunner like good old times reminded me of the good old times 19 years ago. I had moments of being sad that Vince is such an old man but then I remembered time gets all of us and to enjoy this Mania. It was definitely an end of an era Mania for sure with HHH putting his boots out there, the Undertaker getting inducted into the HOF & so many other things about this Mania made it feel larger than life. So I could look past his old-manness; however, it was a buzzkill when the Vince/Pat segment went so long when he fought him after the Austin Theory match.

His sell of the stunner was the best too imo. Don't get me wrong, I loved Theory and Saxton flipping all over the place, but McAfee sold it legit while spitting the beer. It was fantastic.

I'm curious if Stone Colds music was miscued, because it looked like McMahon reacted too early when they were celebrating after Theory did the turnbuckle. When Theorys music kicked in, McMahon had a shocked reaction, as if he was expecting to react to The glass shatter, but didnt.

I enjoyed it. I looked at it as a student meeting the master. The master is an old man but the talent of the young can’t beat the wisdom of the old. Plus I needed that nostalgia. People can’t move on from attitude era because you could pretend it was real. Today the performances are great but it looks like a circus and only a handful look like monsters as they should.

I don't know if it was particularly sad to see vince taking his shirt off. I was rather interested to see what kind of shape he was in. And to be honest he really looked good for a 76 year old. I was afraid he was going to look really withered. But he still had a lot of muscle tone. However he wrestled like a 76-year-old. Stiff and slow. Kind of reminded me of when Lou thesz had his last match in 1990. Was stiff and slow too. But that is too be expected to see someone wrestle in their 70s.

You know the thing that surprised me the most was how they worked the package to sell McAfee as a babyface. (Because, the last thing I remember of him in an actual angle was with Adam Cole and so I wasn't sure if I would buy Pat as anything other than a heel yet). It worked for me though. While I didn't expect it would. And you could feel the fanboy within Pat during his entrance. And I think that was also a big part of what connected with the audience. Plus Theory is an amazing a-hole. xD He's so good at it it's entertaining. I think this match was the surprise of the night for me.
